Interesting, but I've never heard of it. If this guy has been doing it since the 50's, and it's supposedly so great, why isn't it common knowledge?

It will also destroy rubber parts of the fuel system.

I ran this same test in my 86 VW GTI a few years back. I added 1.5 oz's of the stuff to every tank of fuel. After a base period of four weeks (31.5MPG) I adjusted the ratios and started experimenting with different fuels.

Bottom line. The car still runs great and has over 240K on it without any failures or problems what-so-ever.

The fuel economy was improved slightly after averaging over a four month period and 4000 miles I recorded an increase of 0.5 MPG. But was it me paying more attention to my right foot? Or can I say without hesitation that it actually helped.

Me thinks it made no difference.

Garbage. It might improve atomization with higher octane fuels in carby engines, but you wont have that issue with fuel injection.

It has about 60% of the combustion energy of fuel. And anything claiming that increased atomization is going to help a fuel injected car is B.S. in my book.
