Yesterday my brother drove his immaculate '68 Porsche 912 all the way down from Maryland to leave it with me for awhile so I can rebuild it's engine and transmission. I'm tickled to be able to do it for him and am honored he trusts me to. This thing is gorgeous, (yes I know, I'll get some pics at some point). It's British racing green, a Targa car with removable rear window and a perfect, all new black interior. Just the way I'd have ordered it. It almost looks like the Vette's kid brother sitting next to it in my garage.

They get along very nicely together. I guess you'll be doing some test drives. Be sure to check out the cornering abilities of the 912. He's lucky to have you as a brother. I know because of what it cost us to rebuild our 83 911. Fortunately, you should have no problems finding parts.

That's exactly what I've always told him!
Well naturally I'll have to seat the rings when it's done and make sure all is well for the trip back up north.
I've been getting a lot of seat time in Porsches lately. One of my customers has a very nice '86 944 Turbo that often requires road testing after repairs, of course. Very fun little car and really starts to go at about 3000 RPM.

912's are H-4's... they are a LOT cheaper to fix than a 911.

Oh, yea, check out that handling... uh, CAREFULLY. The 912 is more forgiving than the 911, but neither are particularly confidence inspiring.

Luckily for me I have never put them into a wall or guardrail. I've had a 360 degree view in the 90 Vette though. It's being aware of the weight distribution. The Porsches turn a tighter circle but have a heavy ass.

Hardly. "Slime" green is a gay-assed ricer color. British racing green is a pleasing color with many decades of history.

There's a porch in front of my house. It's not green though. More of a basic concrete color at the bottom with a white column on the side. Never seen a racing model porch.
