Good morning CGs!

Ahhh, the last day of September and there is finally a chill in the air. It's about 48 right now, supposed to be 61 today. I preferred it two days ago when it was 75, but oh well.

My last day of work today for my weekend. Unfortunately I have a funeral to attend after work. My wife's cousin's fiance's dad passed away (did you catch that all?). He was about 65 and had a heart attack. Too bad. So we will stop by later today to pay our respects. Another guy at work just passed away last week at age 49. That was a shocker. Also had a heart attack. Just goes to show you life is too short, so enjoy it while you can.

Aside from the somber topic, hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

TUESDAY MUSIC TRIVIA:

Name the song/band that contains these lyrics:

"All I can say is that my life is pretty plain, I like watchin' the puddles gather rain."

Regards to the families of those that have past.

Woke up to the wife cracking the whip. Septic tank needs to be pumped. I unearthed the lid to make the honey dippers job a little easier. :goodnight: The red vettes battery was down so I have to charge it a little to move it. I'm moving a little bit earlier than usual today.

Here is my song for the day.

PS: I don't know that lyric you posted.

Good Morning Gurus!

Shoot, I can see the video with the little kid in the bee outfit, but I don't remember the name of the band OR the song. And I'm not gonna cheat and look it up.

I think I'll watch some financial news today, just to cheer myself up from yesterday's somber day...

Have a good day, all!

I had to come to work.
Was so nice to be off yesterday, still hot outside, was very hot yesterday, so I kept to the lawnchair with cold frosties close by.
Been slow here today, but beats running my hiney off.
My back is still recouperating from working on the vette at the body shop Saturday.
Hope all is well with you guys.

I didn't know you were doing some of the work yourself. Very cool. Is that to keep costs down or because it's fun?

Post some pics when you get 'em.

There were some things that I was about to do anyway, like painting the aluminum trim around the windshield and top, installing a new shift plate and boot, just some little things. But, the shop owner was nice enough to allow me somewhat run of his shop to do 'my' things while he does other things that's part of the wreck. The things I am working on were merely my own things I was in the middle of.
I posted a pic in 'chat' of the new hood. it's on there, although not quite adjusted yet. We're just now getting rolling, parts have finally all came in.

FWIW - If I had my own shop, I'd never get out of it. It's kind of therapeutic in a wierd sort of way. I dream of a shop with yellow walls, checkered flag wavy border about 7/8 the way up, then red rest of the way and ceiling black, with Craftsman diamond-plate cabinets, refrigerator, plasma tv and bar. Along with a lift and plenty of tools.
But, alas, only a dream......
