Good Morning CGs!

Another day here at Daddy Daycare, Inc. We just got up and Sammy's about ready for a bottle. We'll probably be stuck inside most of the day, it's a cold one out there. Last night we had some flurries, they said the first "measurable" snowfall of the year. Nothing really stuck to the ground, but it's still going a little now.

So how was everyone's weekend? Hit the casino on Saturday. Played for roulette for a few hours, was lucky enough not to completely lose my ass, then played some slots for a other hour or so with the wife. Only walked away -35 bucks. Worth it to me for 3 hours of entertainment. My buddy won about $150 and my cousin won a few bucks as well. Good times.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Anytime you can walk away from a casino with that small of a donation is a pretty good deal.

A nice, cold Monday here, Vikings suck, market sucks. Only 7 more months until summer.

Morning Gurus!

I been off the board here for a few days tending to some partying and then hangin' with the wife yesterday.

We had a great Toys for Tots event on Saturday at Hooters. Lots wings and beer to go 'round. The girls although very nice, and cute were so young made me feel like a dirty old man. All my buddies have kids thier age. Anyhow we left there and went to another friends house and shot pool and watched Maryland beat UNC in football.

Sunday just hung around the house with the wife, watched movies and goofed off. Hellboy II is a great flick and as good or better than the first one.

Have a great day

Good Morning Gurus!

No guess on Trivia. Haven't seen that one.

Drove the Vette yesteday for the first time in maybe six weeks. Performed flawlessly, as usual. (As long as the battery is charged)

Took an hour cruise to help a buddy look at a car. He used to have a Triumph TR7 when he was stationed in England during the 70's and 80's. I believe he had a '77 that he putchased in '79.

Anyway, he kept the car for quite awhile, but his wife sold it without his knowleged/permission (how is this possible?) about thirteen years ago. He has wanted to get another since then.

So we found a nice example and took it for a spin. The car looked beautiful but what a shitbox! I can only assume the car has a hydraulic clutch that was malfunctioning. I almost had to use two hands to get the car into first gear. And almost needed two feet to get the car to stop. The car didn't have enough power to get out of its own way. So, there were some issues... He passed on it.

What he really wants is a TR8, which is a better car, anyway, just because it makes a decent amount of power. He is looking at one in Tennessee... That's a long way from Colorado. But it is a beautiful car, in great condition. Still not something I would purchase, but he is emotionally attached, so I totally get it.

Well, that's probably more than you wanted to hear from me, so I'll leave it at that!

Have a great day, Gurus!

Monday is a day off for me as I work Saturdays. So today's projects including swapping out the rear tires, DRs off and the street tires back on, washing one of the dogs (done), some work on the Mustang and some 'honey does' around the house. A quick trip to the Dr for a blood test and over to Sears to swap out a broken socket. Stopped by the car wash on the way home to get the track dirt off the vette. Just got to go swap the tires an the list is done.

I did take time to order a new set of 315/35/17 from TireRack. Guess that was my major accomplishment for today.

Slow chat today, huh?

How was everyone's day? I pretty much stayed inside all day. Was a nice day overall. Cleaned up the house a little, changed some diapers. Fun stuff.

Answer to trivia:
Crime Scene: Scene of the Crime

If you haven't seen that movie it's worth the $4 to rent. Pretty funny.

That's it for me, until tomorrow!

Sad day for my wife and and some friends of the family.

Their 16 y/o son took his bicycle for a pre dawn ride. They live in a rural setting. He was hit by a car that apparently didn't see him. The funeral is set for Wednesday.

On a lesser note. My wife went to work this morning. She has two cats that rome the plant nursery. The youngest one had some damage to one of its legs. She took it to the vet where it was determined she had a broken leg and a broken hip. Little kitty now rests in peace.

Live each day like it's your last. One day it will be.

Man, that is a tragic loss for your friends - hard to fathom what they must be going through.

I just read what I wrote. I guess I'm going to croak in my yard just like my brother.

A 70 y/o heart attack survivor I was talking to just the other night said to me, Some people work their whole life away and then they die. That's living like an ant. Don't be an ant. Enjoy yourself and do things that you want to do.
