So should get it in by this weekend. 3000 stall.

Got the heavy duty cover from patgzz, thanks man. I'm getting it bead blasted and I got paint from the trans place, so I can paint it to match the trans.

This heavy cover becomes a structural component to the trans and stiffens the drive train.

Pr0zac, when trans is done, what are you doing? I have 1/2 a tune right now, but it runs ok, I'd like to get your 2 cents if you're around next week.

Oh, and skidmarks, thanks for taking that converter, cooler, pan, and cover.

My wife asked today "WHY TF DID YOU HAVE TO DO IT NOW?" and "IT COULD HAVE WAITED TILL MAY".....of course my response was not well received...."Honey, you make a very loud point"..

So I told her... I got $XXX back if I did it now....someone wanted the old parts. That seemed to calm the beast (hope she doesn't read this)

Ralph Musi, the guy who installed the motor. He offered up to do it for $100. I couldn't pass it up.

I'm getting a trans with all top of the line parts, from a seemingly reputalble company (at least I can't find much negitive on them) for $2000, installed. Seems like a steal to me.

He is...see above.

I'd like some general input from someone who has done this. Not so much a commentary on the tune, but comments on things that I may want to change, could be different, etc.... Just want an opinion if I missed anything is all.

A second or third set of eyes isn't a bad thing.

The tune seems close enough for that. I spoke to Greg today, we're going to start finishing it up when I get it back.

Next....the rear. And possibly the new suspension kit from Blower works.

Pr0zac, I'll forever bow down to you if you go for a ride and tell him he needs AFR heads and a bottle of prozac.

Don't get mad jsup, just kidding. You have to have a laugh and a drink to that.

For real though, I am anxious to hear how it runs. Are you going to use all the power with the D36 or are you going to wait till the conversion is done to really put the torque down? I'd like to see if your D36 survives for a while or not.

Well, the guy I'm getting the D44 from wants the D36, so I'm not going to beat the shit out of it. I'll lay it all down, just not sit and spin the tires forever.

I am as interested into his input if it seems to be running "right" and make some suggestions if he thinks I missed anything.

Yeah, it is good to have someone else look things over.

As far as the rear, I was wanting to see how long yours held up since I'm still running mine and I know my new combo won't be putting out what yours is. Well, with the nitrous I should be but I am planning on not spraying till 2nd gear so that should help the rear survive.

The trans is delivered, just as they said. Now I just have to get the car to the shop. (following is sarcasm)

Ya know Prozac....I am so happy I picked Frank at Performabuilt to build my trans. Frank is a prince among men and transmission god. You really need to have him build you a trans. Sure, you have a manual, just switch. You're leaving time on the table. If you don't have Frank build your trans ur timz will b slwr.

I can't wait to have my car being pushed down the road by such a perfect trans with the best fluification known to man kind. I mean I expect I should be in 110 into the 12s (always underestimate so you can talk about "better than expected) that's sleeper territory.

This is the best trans ever built and will clearly give me seat of the pants feeling to the point my hardon my interfere with the steering wheel. You keep your slow, sloppy stick shift. I'll be buzzing by you screaming "FLUIFICATION" with my new, hopped up Frank built trans.

I have validated this through many a massage board, and I can say with certainty, if you don't get a Frank built trans from Performabuilt, your car will be slower, and probably explode. Your dick will shrink, and you will loose 50 IQ points. (bringing the total to near 0)

You should call Frank, he can help you out.

If you guys can come 1/2 way, say DE, I'll do it next weekend. The 13th? Again, weather permitting. This time of year rain can turn to ice fast, it's a fine line. I don't need an excuse to drive....Cold beer, steak, I can do that.

It's only an hour and change, c'mon...

I'll take another pair of hands. We're doing it in April. The way I am I'll drop it on my head if we don't have enough people.

In college I changed a solid rear in minutes with one other person helping. We have to break that record. 1 rear, 4 sets of drum breaks, oil change, and a leaf spring, under 1 hour (after getting it on stands).

Not only that, she puts up with me. Probably because I'm real good in bed, IDK..the only thing that comes to mind.

The trans is being installed this weekend. Calling AAA to tow the car down this afternoon, I HOPE I can get it back tomorrow.

OK back...

I picked it up. The trans is docile on the street. I came up the NJ TPK and the check engine light came on. I'm not going to jump on it with a SES light one, could be lean, rich whatever.

So I get home, jump the OBD connection and get code 45. LF wheel sensor. I say WTF? So I disconnect the battery and clear the code.

I go back out and run the car for about 20 minutes. Tons of traffic around here, Rt. 4 and 17 intersection, at one time considered the worst Highway intersection in the country.

Not much room to open it up.

So I get on the Parkway. I look down says 68MPH. I have some room in front of me and I say WTF go for it. I put the pedal down and the tires let loose and the ass starts going sideways. I sat about 2 inches higher from crapping in my pants.

I let off the gas, and drove home, the light never came back on.

I'll go out tomorrow. We have blue laws so I hope there will be less traffic tomorrow.

Hope you didn't stain the seat too bad. Glad it's running well. Talk to Grizzy yet?
