What's the difference between '95 and '94?

No, this ain't trivia; there's a bunch of '95 FSM's right now on ebay, and I'm watchin' 'em for my '94.

I understand that both the PCM and CCM are different. I'm not certain though...just from my reading on the internet.

This from my "Corvette Black Book" re the differences between 94 and 95 ~excl ZR-1's~ (major paraphrase by me)
- gill vents changed
- dark purple met added
- copper met and black rose deleted
- sport seats had 'stronger' french seaming
- atf fluid temp added
- drip tube in A pillar added
- auto tranny clutch controls were slightly altered
- zf tranny was slightly re-designed
- larger brake package standard
- abs/asr improvements
- lower fr/rr springs
- wiper arms redesigned

So...will the 95 work for the 94? Except for the possibility of pcm/ccm.....I'd say yes, I suppose.

I, on the other hand, held off over a year to find my correct yr FM's at a decent price ($75.00 used).....I'd encourage you to do the same.

My 95 is still OBDI with an OBDII connector
My opti is vented from the factory
The radiator hoses are different.

A friend of mine had 94, there' a bunch of little differences.
You really want the 95 manual

Chuck,

I think you could use the book, but I think there are enough differences to warrant the correct 1994 books.

The good thing is that part numbers are not typically published in the helms books, and must be looked up in a separate parts manual for the specific year car.

Just be careful about part numbers which are not the same from year to year. For example; I thought the knock sensors from a 95 would be the same for my car... not. Hell, they look exactly the same!! LOL
Since the 95 uses OBD2 for the most part, they use a different knock sensor. I found out the hard way.

I'm sure there are a lot of other subtle differences too, that if you are not on your toes could cause more time trying to figure out the delta between the two manuals.

Blade_1,

I forgot about the CF banning machine.

Our daughter is doing very good. They did the skin grafting last Wednesday and first removed the bandages yesterday. The surgery team is very happy with the progress of the grafting. They will monitor it for the next week doing bedside dressing changes for both the donor and grafted sites.

Thank you all for your prayer and loving support during this ordeal. It is very much appreciated by my wife, myself and our daughter.
