A lot of that stuff is pretty lame crap anyway. They'll also save money by not having it around to store and take care of. It's not like they're going to disappear either, they'll still be around although not as accessible in some cases.

They cleared out a lot of that stuff about 3 years ago.

Much of it is so complex that it won't stay running for more than a ten minute demo!!! I wouldn't want to deal with those Firebird concept cars!!!

IIRC, much of those cars have been kept behind closed doors, too. So there is a chance some of them will show up in musuems and be enjoyed.
