Good Morning CGs!

I'm pecking away with my laptop right now, hopefully it works out ok. See, my laptop has a loose connection at the usb so half the time the internet doesn't connect. And my PC, well, the keyboard decided to die yesterday. Of course, not all of it, just the letters w, s, and x, and the number 2. Lol. Oh well. I'll hold up ok.

Basement has the sill plates laid out and the walls for the bathroom temporarily put up. I went to the store last night for some more studs, but they didn't have the tracks so I have to go to another one this morning. Ugh. I also have to cut a couple heat vents so I need to pick up that material anyway. No biggie. I feel like I'm gonna nickel and dime myself to death!

That's it for me, one of the guys should be here shortly.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Matt. Your spending nickels and dimes but saving dollars. It's good to do that kind of stuff when your young and in good shape. The jobs go a lot slower the older you get.

I need some young dudes to come finish my basement for me, so I won't get tired or sore!
Maybe bring some brooms and vacumms to clean up the mess too!

Matt, we need photos too!

I want to do my baasement, but I have only been in the house about 9 months, so I need to chill a little bit. I also want to finish the insulation and drywall in the garage too, but I'd sure love to have a pool table in the basement.

Good Luck with the work.

Don't forget that any such project is always a good excuse to get some spiffy new tools. I always like to make the stud-finder beep when it gets close to me - my wife gets a big charge out of that - not.

Last day in the deep freeze for a while here, supposedly. Now I have to decide if I want to make a few pilgrimages to the tanning place before we head to Mexico in a couple of weeks. I neglected to do so last year, and resembled a lobster for half my vacation.

Andy, (who is my wife's cousin by marriage's uncle...go figure that one out!!!) is down there working now. I have to run to Menards (I hate that store with a passion) to pick up a couple little things because they are the only ones who carry them. Damn them.

I'll start a new thread later, I took a couple quick pics already.

That is a sad fact! I'm not sure what I've lost more of, motivation, or physical ability!

My brother, (the real skill guy), and I, (dumb labor), did the basement in my previous house. We added a full bath, (no plumbing was in place), and made a great living space out of 1/2 of the basement. It took us a year to finish it, but the satisfaction can't be measured. And the additional value it added to that house got us into our current place.

Cold, 12* and snowing lightly here. This weather is kicking my a$$. Started the Vette last night and wished I could drive it.
