White Pride? I'm proud to be me. Saying proud to be an American gets harder and harder everyday. What a great portion of the nation represents I find reprehensible though I still stand by the Red, White and Blue. I had put color in my past but those of color won't let me forget. You want to be gay, be gay. You want to be you, be you. Geez, I just woke up from napus maximus. 3 hours. And these are some of my first thoughts? Where can you go to escape the foolishness? .... Maybe Nebraska?

Hey guys, day started off cloudy, breezy and cool. I put a butt on the grill a little after 8, so been baby sitting that.

While that was going on (still is), I was out in the shop doing a few things. Rosie and GGD are at the pool. I'm trying to watch the Royals, they've been in a downward slide here in the last week and have given up 2 runs late to fall behind, they have one more chance to come back.

CLEAR, CALM, AND 71 GOING FOR 86. THE CHEROKEES ARE LOVING IT AND ME TOO.

YESTERDAY EVENING THE HOUSE WAS ATTACKED BY A GOODGOD (PILEATED WOODPECKER), MAGNIFICENT BIRDS BUT THEY CAN SURE DO SOME DAMAGE. I WENT OUT TO SCARE HIM AWAY, BUT HE CAME RIGHT BACK. THAT WAS A TERMINAL ERROR.

IN THE NEWS:
THE NATIONAL SOCIALISTS HAVE DECLARED JUNE "PRIDE" MONTH.

pride (prid) n. 1. an inordinate opinion of one’s own dignity
importance, merit, or superiority
2. an emotion produced only by sexual
Perversion

Anything non-productive, abnormal, perverted, or anti-American is sure to be pimped by the democrat party.

NOTHING ON THE AGENDA TODAY, MAY FINALLY PUT THE TOP DOWN. :-)

ALWAYS FORWARD!

PRESS RELEASE:

CORVETTE RACING AT DETROIT: Corvettes Qualify 1-2… Again!

Garcia puts No. 3 Z06 GT3.R on class pole with Milner second in shadow of GM RenCen

DETROIT (May 31, 2024) – Corvette Racing by Pratt Miller Motorsports will roll off 1-2 in class for the hometown race for the team and Chevrolet after Friday’s 15-minute qualifying session for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship’s Chevrolet Detroit Sports Car Classic.

Antonio Garcia captured pole position in the GTD PRO class in the No. 3 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R with a lap of 1:09.092 (85.711 mph) around the 1.654-mile, nine-turn street circuit in downtown Detroit. He was 0.336 seconds clear of teammate Tommy Milner in the No. 4 Corvette.

It’s the second consecutive pole position in IMSA competition for the Z06 GT3.R following a pole for Nicky Catsburg – Milner’s teammate – earlier this month at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. The pair of yellow GTD PRO Corvettes also started first and second at Laguna Seca with Milner and Catsburg going on to finish third in class for the Corvette Z06 GT3.R’s first podium.

"Congratulations to Antonio Garcia on his pole-winning lap in GTD PRO with the No. 3 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R on the streets of Detroit – the second consecutive pole position for our new Corvette GT3 entry in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship," said Scott Bell, Vice President, Global Chevrolet. "Corvette Racing by Pratt Miller Motorsports continues to show the performance capabilities of the Z06 GT3.R, which is a testament to the work of the team, and our Chevrolet and GM engineering groups.”

Pre-race work at Chevrolet’s Driver-in-the-Loop simulator paid immediate dividends in each of Friday’s two practice sessions. Corvette Racing by Pratt Miller Motorsports engineers leaned on the learnings of Chevrolet’s NTT INDYCAR program to help establish a baseline for a handful of sessions on Chevy’s Driver in the Loop simulator.

That helped with the results in pre-qualifying running. Alexander Sims, who shares the No. 3 Corvette with Garcia, went fastest in GTD PRO during the opening 90-minute session. Milner paced the two-hour afternoon practice in the field’s final track time before qualifying.

The Chevrolet Detroit Sports Car Classic is scheduled for 3:10 p.m. ET on Saturday, June 1. The race will air live on USA Network with full streaming coverage also on Peacock. IMSA Radio will air the race at IMSA.com along XM 206, SiriusXM Online 996.

CORVETTE RACING BY PRATT MILLER MOTORSPORTS QUALIFYING DRIVER QUOTES

ANTONIO GARCIA, NO. 3 CHEVROLET CORVETTE Z06 GT3.R – GTD PRO POLE-WINNER: “I think it’s great. That’s the first goal we had - to get as soon as possible up front. So having another Corvette one-two really helps with that. It's nice to have two yellow Corvettes up front around these buildings. It means the whole team is running really, really good. We just need to keep everything together. Let’s hope it’s not like Laguna where we went from up there to somewhere else. So we just need to be cautious and we need to stay on track, for sure. There’s probably going to be some yellows, too. We just need to be smart. That's it."

Controlling the race from up front: "In a place like this, where it’s almost impossible to pass, it’s really good to have track position, for sure. But now we get to the point where maybe a ton of people roll the dice and maybe the whole thing changes. We've seen these things at these kinds of race tracks many, many times. The fastest race car doesn’t always win. We just need to play smart and that’s all we can do. If everything falls as it should, I think it would be great to have a Corvette one-two around the RenCen.”

TOMMY MILNER, NO. 4 CHEVROLET CORVETTE Z06 GT3.R - QUALIFIED SECOND IN GTD PRO: “I’m definitely happy. I would like to have been P1, but I just didn’t put the laps together. I’m curious to see what the best sectors would have been. I don’t think I had quite enough for pole with Antonio going fast again on his last lap. But overall I’m happy. It’s great to be here in Detroit, in the shadow of the RenCen and having both Corvettes on the front row it’s great. That’s the first part of the job done. The second part is to go win this thing tomorrow. We have two really great cars. The guys are working really hard and well right now. As long as we do our job tomorrow we should be in a good position."

Race outlook: “It will be a challenge, no question about it. With the Lexus and the Porsche behind us, both those cars and guys are quick, obviously. Some are more aggressive than others. Passing is hard here so we’ll have to be prepared for how they normally race and be prepared to race as hard as they normally do.”

Tommy I vote to pour a drink and hold the lawn chair down, and avoid touching things.
Overcast here today, rain due, but now it's pushed back till 1am. I should have watered but it was supposed to rain. If it don't rain tonight, Im in trouble. Yard is mowed, supper is on the grill, I've been to the gym and soon as we eat I'm taking a good hot shower and making myself a drink. So thankful for the screened in back patio this time of year.

Hey guys, pretty nice morning here, 72 at noon and light breezes. We will be dog sitting with #2s three dogs through tomorrow. I've cleaned and put things away in the shop, ready now for the next project.

You're right Gris, it was a foregone conclusion, a railroad job from the beginning. Tommy, with days like that, you're better off going back to bed.

Good Morning CGs!

Sounds like a good day to go back to bed, Tommy. Any update on the nursery sale?

Tinkered with the mustang and got the clutch assembly, bell housing, and transmission put back in. The flywheel I put in last year was vibrating so bad you couldn't drive the car. Hopefully this new one sorts it out. I'll find out once it's all back together.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Wow! One of those days that everything I touch is messing up. Went to start the S-10 and the battery was dead. Dome light switch was on. When I opened the drivers door a sping popped out and driver door was locked in the open position. Nothing a hammer and screwdriver couldn't fix but the spring is still out. Sue did a delivery and dripped oil all over a customers brand new driveway with the box truck. There was a loose clamp. Hoefully we can rebound. They held the Suburban over night at the stealership and said they would TRY and have it ready around noon time today. Let's put one foot forward Gurus. Keep an eye out for overhead birds.

No Letty. Just an office and multiple sheds on the property and hundreds of thousands in inventory. It's a quarter mile away from the house. They are already building homes all around it in the 750k range. Lennar and Century homes. No condos in this area. Townhomes closer to town but not out here. About the smallest they allow around here is one home on builders 1/2 acre.

Dropped the suburban off at the dealer this morning for a service bulletin replacement on the vacuum assist for the brakes. The brakes were getting a hard pedal and hard to stop. It's supposed to be no charge to us. We shall see. An investment group is looking into the purchase of the nursery. They may not want anything but the land. We shall see what shakes out.

Good afternoon, beautiful day here, and I'm stuck inside. Came >this< close to taking off today. Ive made 56 trips around the sun so I feel like I should be home relaxing and enjoying it. Working on a mack truck for a client, getting it ready to print and have questions and the person I need to ask the questions to won't sit still long enough and is gone already. Then he wonders why it's not ready to print yet. I'm bout to just do it my way and let him fuss later. I too would like to smell bacon, or any sort of food - it's getting bout that time here to go find my lunch.

Hey guys, busy day here. Did a job I've been putting off because it's a little intimidating. I was not sure what it was going to end up being.

Once Leo and I got started, the first step took considerably longer than I was hoping, but after figuring out how it was wired, it was easy-peasy. A job I was figuring might take us through Friday, we finished by 2pm. Not sure why Ii was intimidated with the job...I guess the unknown.

Came home and started on a countertop for one of the jobs coming up a little later this summer. Might seem a bit out of order, but we are treading water awaiting materials to show up, so doing what we can to fill the time.

A little warmer today, upper 80s and breezy. Had about .3 rain yesterday and looking at maybe some more rain later this evening into tomorrow morning....bring it on.

That sounds like harassment, Tommy. SCREW the IRS.

...good morning fellow travelers..... its a wonderful day here at the Old Yellow House..... actually its Heritage Cream but the kids call it yellow....

Our civic lesson of the day is as follows...
A Republic is a representative form of Government that is ruled according to a Charter or Constitution....

A Democracy is a form of Government that is ruled according to the will of the majority......

So the United States is a democratic Republic..... it is not just a Democracy..... I hear the left all the time saying the Republicans will ruin or destroy the Democracy....... we are not a Democracy..... The Constitution is our foundation.....

Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what is for dinner. Liberty is a well armed lamb contesting the vote.
Ben Franklin

In a democracy the majority rules. In a Republic the individual is protected from the majority.

...be the well armed lambs Guru's......

Good Morning CGs!

Took junior to the movies yesterday morning. We saw a new movie called Fall Guy. It's loosely based on the old show, a stunt man doing stunt man things. It was a pretty funny movie and entertaining. He liked it, that's all that matters.

Chores today.

Hope everyone has a great day!

GOOD MORNING TOMMY,

SEMI-SUNNY AND 70 HERE, 79 AFTER NOON, 50% CHANCE OF RAIN.
LAWN MOWER PICKUP THIS MORNING, FRONT WHEEL PROBLEM. ALSO NEED TO CHECK ON HARVEY.

DOG IS FED, CAT IS CUDDLED, I'M STILL WAITING---

THE NATIONAL SOCIALIST MEDIA IS RELUCTANTLY TALKING ABOUT CRIME. CATCH AND RELEASE OF CRIMINALS DOESN'T SEEM TO WORK TOO WELL.

TO DETER CRIME YOU ARREST CRIMINALS, TRY THEM PROMPTLY, PUNISH THE GUILTY QUICKLY, SEVERELY, AND PUBLICLY. TIME HONORED AND EFFECTIVE.

WHY THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN:

1. THE COURT SYSTEM IS DESIGNED AND OPERATED FOR THE CONVENCE AND PROFIT OF LAWYERS RATHER THAN PUNISHING CRIMINALS.

2. THE DEMOCRAT PARTY’S MOST CHERISHED DEMOGRAPHIC IS RESPONSIBLE FOR 70% OF US CRIME.

KEEP UP THE FIRE, AMIGOS!

In other news .... I got a letter from the IRS stating our tax return is under review. Could it be a result of the big money we won last year? It's not like we even got a big return. Only a couple of G's. And we paid over 30k to Uncle in income tax. In the midnight hour they want more, more, more.

Some ass clown I was reading about was talking about A/C being a right. Bad enough we endure subsidized housing, food, health care, internet access, cellphones and the list goes on and on. I read NYC had 800,000 subsidized housing units. Hear is my recollection. We were taught to be proud and self sufficient. Our house in Boston had internal temps that changed with the seasons. Summer was hot. No A/C. I had a room in the attic. Heat rises. I remember lying in bed on top of the blanket with a fan on high. A/C was a luxury few had. I didn't even live in an A/C environment till I was 22. So many luxries today that people consider rights. I'd like to give a lot of them rights followed by a couple of lefts. Want luxuries? Go work for them. Oh, that's right. If you make too much money you may lose your "benefits". Rigginfriggin sassafrassin shidilibop! Ok. I'm ready to start my day now.

Where is my compassion and empathy? Oh.There they are. (flush noise)

Good afternoon, beautiful day here, seems all the storms, hail and tornadoes have passed at least for today.Probably more comin. We took of this past weekend to the other side of the state to hike a bit and touch grass. Got a lot crammed in 2 days then came home yesterday to a green pool so there was that. Thanks to those who gave all so I could have the freedom to do as I sort of please. Yes, I'm with Uman , we mustn't forget, but I fear the new generation will screw all this up. Glad you're schedule is normalizing a bit Matt.

PRESS RELEASE:
CORVETTE RACING AT DETROIT: Home Sweet Home

First event on downtown streets of Detroit for GTD PRO squad, Corvette Z06 GT3.R

DETROIT (May 28, 2024) – Chevrolet and Corvette Racing by Pratt Miller Motorsports are in their own backyard this week for the Chevrolet Detroit Sports Car Classic – the first appearance in the Motor City for the program since 2021.

The pair of yellow Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.Rs are part of an 11-car field in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship’s GTD PRO class. Tommy Milner and Nicky Catsburg will team in the No. 4 Corvette and are coming off the first podium finish for the Z06 GT3.R in the last GTD PRO race at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.

Of note, Milner also was part of the Corvette’s first victory – two weeks ago at Circuit of The Americas for DXDT Racing in GT World Challenge America. Not to be outdone, Catsburg drove the Z06 GT3.R to its first IMSA pole at Laguna Seca.

In the No. 3 Corvette, Antonio Garcia and Alexander Sims sit fifth in GTD PRO points and just ahead of their teammates. The pair was in prime position to contend at Laguna Seca before an ill-fated safety car that came out on Garcia’s in-lap barely an hour into the race.

Milner and Garcia are the only Corvette drivers who have contested Detroit, albeit on the Belle Isle circuit. They were part of a non-points GT Le Mans race in which the Corvette Racing factory team brought two Corvette C8.Rs to the island. Before that, and owing to the closeness of the Detroit race and the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Corvette team’s two other appearances on Belle Isle came in 2007 and 2008 as part of the GT1 class.

The downtown Detroit circuit, which runs around the Renaissance Center and the global headquarters of General Motors, is the shortest on the calendar at nine turns and 1.654 miles around. Neither GTD PRO nor the GTP categories raced at Detroit last year (it was the same weekend as the Le Mans Test Day), so very few drivers in the field have any experience at the circuit.

To help the team prepare, Corvette Racing by Pratt Miller Motorsports engineers leaned on the learnings of Chevrolet’s NTT INDYCAR program to help establish a baseline for a handful of sessions on Chevy’s Driver in the Loop simulator. That should allow the Corvette team to roll right into its setup program to be in the best possible position for Friday’s qualifying and Saturday’s race.

The Chevrolet Detroit Sports Car Classic is scheduled for 3:10 p.m. ET on Saturday, June 1. The race will air live on USA Network with full streaming coverage also on Peacock. IMSA Radio will air all on-track sessions at IMSA.com along XM 206, SiriusXM Online 996.

CORVETTE RACING BY PRATT MILLER MOTORSPORTS

PRE-EVENT DRIVER QUOTES

ANTONIO GARCIA, NO. 3 CHEVROLET CORVETTE Z06 GT3.R: “We want to do well in Detroit. For sure the target is to win. We are running around the RenCen, so obviously it will be very important if we can win there. So I’m looking forward to it It’s a new track for me and most of the other drivers. I had a chance to do a few laps in the simulator and it looks very stressful. But I’m sure it will bring a lot of action and tight racing. I don’t know the weather is going to be, but it will be good to our own street race because I did miss racing at Long Beach this year. So I am looking forward to getting back to a street track.”

ALEXANDER SIMS, NO. 3 CHEVROLET CORVETTE Z06 GT3.R: “We did an initial run on the simulator some time ago – just to get a read on it and check to see if the track model was working and behaving itself. The Corvette felt reasonably sensible around there. It’s definitely a very bumpy circuit, as you would expect with a street track. A bit of undulation, couple of rises and slightly blind corners. It’s a busy little track and not a huge amount of speed anywhere outside the long straight. Overtaking will be pretty tough. It’s going to be pretty crazy with the GTPs. I’ve not been to Detroit before and didn’t do the previous Detroit races. It will be a cool thing for all of us. It will be nice to be there and to have a completely new experiences. Some of those are few and far between for me, so I’m looking forward to it.”

TOMMY MILNER, NO. 4 CHEVROLET CORVETTE Z06 GT3.R: “I’ve driven in it in person in a rental car and some sim work also. It’s exciting to be in the downtown part of Detroit. Racing in the shadow of the RenCen is very cool. It’s going to be a challenging race track, for sure. It’s short but like any street track, there are a lot of places where you can get yourself in trouble. It’ll be a lot to learn as it’s a basically a new track for everybody. As with any street tracks we’ve done in the past, it’s great to be in the city and on top of everything that is happening around the race. Detroit does some unique things with free viewing areas for fans, which is something you don’t see anywhere in the world. I’m excited to go back to Detroit.”

NICKY CATSBURG, NO. 4 CHEVROLET CORVETTE Z06 GT3.R: “I raced at Belle Isle in a Lamborghini in World Challenge many years ago. It was a cool track then. This is a home race for the team, so it makes it extra cool to go to. Some families of the crew will be out, and we’ll have some things to do around the race as well. The added pressure of it being a home race will for sure make it a very tough event. In IMSA, the practice times are always quite limited. On a street course, that makes it extra hard. It’s hard to explore the limits there. On other tracks you can go over the limit and dial it back a little bit, and then you’ve found your speed quickly. Hopefully it will be a weekend of more positive results for the Corvette.”

I worked the graveyard shift for 7 years straight back in the 80's. I know about the zombie feeling all too well. Came out ahead on this weekend at the casino. Up is good. I actually had a heartfelt moment yesterday a I thought of those that died defending our nation. That's what it's all about. Heartfelt rememberance and the sacrifice of those that served.

HI MATT, GLAD TO HEAR YOU'RE OFF NIGHTS.

IT'S CLOUDY AND 66 DEGREES THIS MORNING, GOING FOR 82. CHANCES FOR RAIN EVERY DAY THIS WEEK. NOT EXACTLY CONVERTIBLE WEATHER.

GOT THE REST OF THE OBSTACLE COURSE MOWED. BOUNCING AROUND ON THAT MOWER FOR AN HOUR AND A HALF IS NO FUN. MAY GIVE IN TO DARLING WIFE AND HIRE IT DONE---

HAVE NOT TURNED ON AC IN THE TOY CARS YET, BUMBLE WILL NEED FREON, AS ALWAYS. HARVEY STILL ON R-12, I'VE GOT A FEW CANS STASHED AWAY. THE CONVERTIBLE HAS THE BEST AC; I'VE WONDERED IF THAT'S DESIGN OR HAPPENSTANCE.

NOTHING ON THE AGENDA TODAY BUT TOPPING OFF THE HUMMINGBIRD FEEDERS.

HAVE A TERRIFIC TUESDAY Y'ALL!

Good Morning CGs!

I have been adjusting to a new schedule again, I'm working the afternoon shift now. It's better for sleep I can definitely tell you that. I don't feel like a zombie all the time.

Tried to refill the 134a in my father-in-law's car this morning but I guess it leaked a little too much and got some moisture and air in there. Wouldn't take the can like I wanted. So I have to vacuum the system this week and fill from there. It's better just more time consuming. That's ok I'll use the leftovers to top off the Camaro and Corvette. The Corvette has a very small Schrader valve leak. There's a special tool that replaces the valve without losing any refrigerant but it's about $45 and I'm being cheap. It's funny that my FIL told me today you seem to have a tool for everything....he also asked me how do you know how to do this? I said when you're poor you learn how to fix your own stuff. Best way, I guess.

Hope everyone has a great day!
