TEE, I HOPE THAT COLD WEATHER STAYS UP THERE WITH YOU ALL.

IT'S NICE HERE, ABOUT 52 WHEN I GOT UP, THE SUN IS SHINING BRIGHT, ANOTHER GOOD DAY TO BE OUTSIDE.

I NEED TO ADD YESTERDAY'S CUT DOWN BUSHES AND TRIMMINGS TO THE WEST SIDE BRUSH PILE, NO FUN THERE, TOO MUCH BENDING OVER. THERE'S STILL WEED EATING TO DO IN THE DOG PEN; SOME HOW THAT JUST NEVER GETS DONE :-)

ALWAYS FORWARD, GURUS!

Morning guys... another cool one, lower 40s now but headed to low 80s today. But by Thursday, the highs will be in the upper 30s. And a hard freeze is eminent Friday and Saturday nights

Good Morning CGs!

Haven't checked in lately, I apologize for that.

Not much going on here. I got the valves set on the car and the block and intake prepped. Found one manifold bolt was somehow bent so I picked up a new one tonight. Maybe I'll get the lower intake installed this week. We'll see.

Still can't believe it's October. As a testament to time marching on, RR#2 turned 9 the other day. Many of you remember me posting baby pictures from when he was born. Time flies.

TB, happy birthday to your grandson.

Tommy, enjoy the trip.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Pit boss at Menards...slightly different model I can order from Walmart for $100 cheaper and the one the lady, from Topeka, has on FB marketplace is new in box, like the one I could order from Walmart and she wants $100 less than Walmart. If that deal falls through, I'll probably order the one from Walmart.

Got a call from neighbor across the street, needing me to do a small project for him, so I worked on that today, and got it done.

Celebrating #3 GS birthday this evening. 15 years old and Saturday will be the 15th year since my dad passed away.

Nice here also..... I hear the dull roar of 10,000 combines firing up to get into the harvest.... do not get in their way......

Where did you see the Pit Boss at Tee? Those Treager folks are real proud of their stuff.

I better get some snacks together and ride in some half million dollar Combines that will steer themselves around the field while we sit and chat and sip coffee....... very nice.....

Up and at em Guru's....

Morning guys... slept in this morning. cool and clear, 37 for the low and upper 40s now, headed to low 70s. Pretty, fall morning. Changes coming at the middle of the week though, just in time for our trip to KC.

We have an appointment this afternoon with our financial planner, to discuss the upcoming retirement of Rosie, and in our upcoming meeting with Social Security on Thursday.

I have some things to do in the shop, but nothing really that pressing.

Have a great day guys.

A REALLY PRETTY MORNING AFTER A GLOOMY YESTERDAY WITH A HALF INCH OF RAIN. SUNNY CALM AND QUITE COOL, ABOUT 55 WHEN I GOT UP. THIS IS THE KIND OF MORNING I CAN DEAL WITH :-)

TOOK THE TOMATO IN FOR COOLING SYSTEM FLUSH AND REFILL. I CHECKED MY RECORDS AND ALL MY TOY CARS NEEDED NEW ANTIFREEZE. THIS WILL BE TWO DOWN AND ONE TO GO. IT'S AUTO ROTATION DAY, BUT I HATE TO PUT THE TOMATO AWAY WHEN THERE IS A PROSPECT OF TOP DOWN WEATHER FOR A FEW DAYS.

WILL BE A GOOD DAY FOR YARD STUFF, EXCEPT FOR THE SEED TICKS.

ALLONS, GURUS!

Morning guys...slept in a bit. Cloudy and cool this morning. mid 40s early, up to low 50s now, headed to upper 60s.

Not much going on. Looked at the Traeger demonstration yesterday, nice grills, but quite pricey. Looked at a Pit Boss too.... not nearly so expensive, and does the same thing. Thinking we'll start with the PB and if we need the higher quality, we can buy a Traeger later.

Have a great day!

Being a coupe guy I like the look of seeing the tricked out engine in the back under glass....... that goes away with the Vert..... but its a hell of an engineering job that GM did on it. No more Rag Tops......

The whole car has got mad engineering...... going to have to start saving my pennies and saving my dime's...... hope they make a Grand Sport.......

I love the look of the C8 R....... that thing is going to kick ass....

today I should mow...... mow mow mow...... still better than shovel shovel shovel........ have a super day Guru's

CLOUDY AND WET AM GRISHEIM THIS MORNING, MORE RAIN LOOMING OVER THE CHEROKEES.

THE TAHLEQUAH GUNSHOW WAS THE POOREST I'VE EVER SEEN THERE. DON'T KNOW WHERE ALL THEIR VENDORS WERE. PICKED UP SOME CHEAP .223 AT THE FLEA MARKET ON THE WAY HOME, THERE WERE FEW VENDORS THERE ALSO, AND ON A PERFECTLY PRETTY DAY.
STRANGE

Agreed. It'll be interesting to see how much they affect vision when you are actually in the driver's seat. Of course, Zora didn't seem to mind …

HAVE FUN TOMMY!

ANOTHER COOL FALL MORNING IN THE NATIONS, SUNNY NOW BUT SUPPOSED TO RAIN THIS AFTERNOON.

THERE'S A GUNSHOW IN TAHLEQUAH THIS WEEKEND. I'LL GO SEE IF THEY HAVE ANYTHING I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT.

CUT BACK SOME OVER ENTHUSIASTIC SHRUBBERY YESTERDAY, MAY DO SOME MORE BEFORE THE RAINS DESCEND.

OCTOBER IS THE MONTH TO GET THINGS DONE OUTSIDE.

JUST LIKE A '57 FORD :-) BUT A LOT BETTER LOOKING.

Evening, we won the homecoming game. the local boys are 5-0, I understand next week is going to be a real test for them.

Got some things accomplished today, and more to do, but nothing all that pressing.

I hope all of you had a great day.

It's nice, with a power hard top and exactly the same luggage space as the coupe. Furthermore, the way the top stows means that you aren't using up luggage space like the coupe's targa top does. 77 pounds heavier (not bad), you give up the nice view of the engine, and you give up more 7,500 United States dollars:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQCQLEeDpgU

For road-trippers like ourselves, this is an attractive proposition.

Raining this morning. That's a good thing. 50 now with showers, but supposed to get up to 70.

I have a few things to work on in the shop, to keep me busy today. Rosie had to go in to work for a while this morning. This evening, we have football homecoming, and, as usual, I'm running the clock, so that takes care of the evening.

Tomorrow, Rosie has a benefit run/walk she is doing early in the morning, then we are headed to the 'city' to watch a demonstration for a Traeger grill. I'm afraid that with Traeger, you are paying for the name. I've been looking at other pellet grills and, it appears to me, most are pretty much the same. And many are 1/2 to 3/4 to price of the Traeger. I've talked to several people who have pellet grills, various brands, and got the low down from them.

Have a great day folks.

Sign me in on the busy days club. another 13 hour day. Two small panels to put up on the bathroom/shed and a couple of weathered fence boards and the outside will be close to finished. Inside the toilet, sink and half the shower was installed. I built a partition wall first thing this morning that was one of the shower walls. pics later when I get back from vacation. Sue's mom was transferred to a rehab facility. She didn't have any doctors orders and she takes insulin for diabetes. Sue is all over them like stink on stuff. 1st day and she called for a supervisor. Busy, busy, busy. I went and visited late yesterday afternoon. Dis an errand run today and picked up a lot of items on my list. Tomorrow maybe finish the shower, finish the boards. Then I have to cut the grass and straighten out the house before we leave. Sonny-boy is coming in to pet sit as usual.

See ya!

On the nursing home front: DHS has taken over the one my cousin is in plus five others, all over the news. I went there last night and it was pure chaos. I'd like to have a word with them whoever they are and get in my .02 on her behalf. Room was a mess, denture cup in floor, she lit up her call light and was ignored and was in pain so she took a coke can banging it around and still no one came till I got there and all hell broke loose. Aint' done yet. I'll try to plan a visit when I return

IT'S MORNING AGAIN IN THE NATIONS, SEMI-SUNNY, CALM, AND MILD. TEMPS ARE EASING OFF BUT THE MISERABLE HUMIDITY IS STILL WITH US.

GOT MY VIETNAM RELIC CLEANED UP FINALLY, AFTER EXTRAVAGANT EXPENDITURE OF BORE CLEANER. I'LL TAKE IT ALONG NEXT TIME I GO TO THE RANGE AND SEE IF IT FUNCTIONS.

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ON THE AGENDA TODAY :-)

ANYBODY FIGURE OUT WHAT THIS CORVETTE-GURU. COM BIT IS ABOUT?

Well, I'm up early, well compared to all last week. It was great to sleep in my own bed....slept like a rock.

As I said in my post last night, it was cool when we got home, and it appears that today may be a carbon copy. It is 47 now, and only headed towards the low 60s and cloudy all day.

I hate, in some respects, leaving on vacation. I now have a ton of things I'm behind on. I picked up a few things yesterday that need done. Made a couple of visits to fix a couple other things, and made arrangements for a couple other visits today and tomorrow.

Last night I went on the Social Security website and started my enrollment for Medicare, ran into questions so I saved my work and, hopefully, get those questions answered next week when we visit them face to face.

I guess it's back to the grind. Have a great day.

Hey guys.....Catnapping? Uh, NO! At 4am(MT) this morning I got up to go to the bathroom, a few minutes later Rosie did as well. At 4:30 I could tell she wasn't going back to sleep (so neither was I) and I asked her if she was ready to get up and head for home. So we were on the road home by 5:20. It was 38 when we got in the car, and when we went over Wolfe Creek Pass (10,400') the temps dropped to 33. By the time we broke out into the foothills (7:30am) the temps there were in the low 60s. But headed east about 15 miles into the foothills, We ran into low heavy fog and the temps dropped back into the low 40s and stayed there until we left Colorado...by the time we got home (12:45 local time) it was back up to the low 50s.

Got unloaded and put stuff away. And got started returning calls and making calls on people who called me while I was in CO. And I had two meeting this evening....so it has been a busy day and not one Cat Nap.

GOOD ALMOST AFTERNOON, Y'ALL.
IT'S A BRIGHT, SUNSHINY DAY IN THE NATIONS, BUT STILL WAY TOO HUMID.

CLEANING UP MY VIETNAM "SOUVENIR", IT'S SUPPOSED TO HAVE A NEW BARREL, IF SO IT'S THE DIRTIEST "NEW" I'VE EVER SEEN :-0
THIS LOOKS LIKE A LONG TERM PROJECT---

Tommy lol
It's my hairdresser. Anytime one of us goes to the beach we all jump in on the ride. I wanted to go so she invited herself to go with me and she just got back from going with another one of our friends just over a week ago. I was unable to go that week so we're doing a long weekend. Happy bithday to sonny-boy

Gonna be a good day, tater - at least outside. It's the 71st of July here.
Hoping for a slow office day, leaving at noon tomorrow to drive down to Gulf shores for four days with a girlfriend of mine.
Have a good day y'all - carry on
