Yes Pvc is Great to work with.... But If God forbid some thing happens like the compressor over runs the cut off switch( don't ask me how I know)Or if your in a cold weather climate...There will be condensation and problems unless ya got a heated garage..Otherwise go copper or galvinised and be done with it...Be Safe...JMHO

The three loops catch most of the condensation along with the filter on the end...This guy must do alot of painting...IMO the three loops are overkill..You could do one with a drain and use a filter at the end...I would rethink PVC Tubing though.... :toothy3:

You can pull the digital panel out and and clean the contacts.. There will be one plug on the back right side..But I doubt if that's the problem...I agree with Bogus..It's a ground...Battery,Main bundle and such...Had the same problem myself..You'll find it

O.K. I found it..A leak coming behind the water pump toward the right side..Probably the Timing chain cover...At least it's not serious..probably that was my small leak and just got bigger....Thanks for the encouragement

Thanks All..It's a Greenwood that I modified...Raised it 3/4" and formed it into the hood so it doesn't have that "wart" look..
Yes I have that plate also..Will investagate...I sprayed the front of the engine and cross member with brake clean and will restart and see what I can see

Yes that's the one...It's a stock hood..I modified the scoop because It was too low and I didn't like the "wart" look...It was the only one I found that would span the rise in the stock hood..Thanks for the compliment

Bogus..I got an oil cooler..I'm not sure if it's part of the Z51 package but it's there..I'm hopeing that's what blew..can't see it from underneath(the leak) ..will have to look under the A/C pulley,that's where it runs up from under the car...Heck I'm not even sure that's the leak yet..

Well I just rolled my 86 off the ramps and it was running fine,rich but fine..Then the float stuck and it flooded out in the middle of the culdesac..Got that fixed,started it up again and in a cloud of white smoke I was off..My son waves at me pointing on the ground to a small puddle of oil..Pull it back on the lift and start it again and it was like oil was shot out of a hose!!! All on the right side into the radiator and beyond..Shut it down right away...I'm letting it drip dry.. What is running on that side of the engine?? I saw the oil cooler line there and a couple trans lines, but everything is still hot and dripping..Will check the FSM,but thought I would ask here also..I had a small leak in front earlier which I was going to address after I got it running correctly..I guess that was my"Small Leak" that needs addressing now

That is a GOOD DEAL !!..I purchased a kit last Fall and nearly paid $300.00 without the rear hatch seal...If their seals are as good as their carpet this is a keeper

I agree With BillH....I have an Iwata for my base coat and two Harbor Freights for Primer and Clear...You could do it all with one gun,but changing the tips and cleaning is a real pain..Ya got to watch your Flash Time also..So multiple guns is the way to go..I Have used Kirker and it's Great..You can get a complete Kit for under 250.00 and that includes the paint suit!!! Heres a couple Pics

Hi All..I'm in the process of rebuilding my 86 L98 because of a rod knock..after tearing it down I descovered that all but #1 piston had broken skirts !!!..Also the inside of the cylinder walls (4 of Them) had a blk pattern on one side like some took a paint brush and spattered it..I talked to my speed shop guy and he said that the engine might have gotten hot sometime in it's life..but as long as the wall are in spec not to worry..I honed and ridge reamed and they are round and within 002 of each other..and in spec..I don't want to put all this $$ into a block that might fail..although everything seems right ..What do you guys think..Sorry it's so long
