Looks like there may be a couple upsets this week.

By the way...what is up with T-Bone? This week he decides to to play and leave some important positions open? Are you and C4moneypit in bed together? lol

I am doing a iron Vortec build for my '76. I was thinking of going to a 383....but that 355 sounds enticing with 400+ HP.

You may remember me telling you about the "Human Wrecking Balls" on the G4 network and how they are wearing my shirt designs.

Well they are supposed to be on Jimmy Kimmel Live tonight(wed) and I had just gave Craig a new design to wear. Hopefully they will let them wear them.

The designs for teh G4 show were supposed to be simple and not really "advertise" anything so thats why they are not to complex and flashy. I just think its cool as hell that I have something get on national TV!

Yeah I know it sucked. I really relied on Westbrook(again) but he failed to follow through(again) Slaton did awesome though.

Well, next years Nascar begins in 3 months. We should be able to hash out some rules and widget antes.

I agree 100% with CC on no dupes and no non-payers if thats the route we go.

The only thing I would be concerned about would be a low turnout if members are expected to pay $$$ to get in. But if we start advertising sooner than later, maybe we can get 15-20 teams for each event.

I dunno...I can see both sides of "dealing with strangers". Both of you seem to be gun-shy of making the jump to either 1) give the car and title or 2) wire cash. I would be leary either way too.

However, I have not heard the tapes. They may be what made the guy sound like an ass, but the emails don't to me. SOunds like he is just scared to give you the car without being guaranteed the money.

When I bought my '76, the seller's bank wouldn't "clear" the money for 10 business days since it was such a large amount. The guy was nice enought to drive it home(3 hours away), but he didn't send the title until it cleared.

Wow, sounds bad.

I can see him being "suspicious" with all the fraudulent deals out there, but come on. This guy sounds like he doesn't trust anyone, anyhow.

I just wondered how he would have acted once you did show up with money in hand? Would he still be rude? Or would he rob you then and there?

Get the entire commonwealth on him!

That's the whole problem....people joining and then getting discouraged by their performance and not staying in the game.

If the top prize is something to really shoot for, maybe we could get more motivated. I can't imagine a 20 team Football league! That would be fun!

I guess the problem with $20 is that its like pulling teeth to get it(and I was one of the offenders). Maybe next time, you get the password in, once your money is received.

Next year for Nascar AND Football will be much better! Plus, hoping to have some prize packs that will encourage others to join and play faithfully.

Hopefully, we can do it without any money from the competitors.

You know, thats one reason I keep my mouth(or fingers in this case) shut when dealing with subjects I know nothing about. If I know a "little" then I usually say, "It's been my experience" or "I read this information somewhere else".

I think somepeople feel that they can just get involved in a topic they know little about because they feel there would be no reprecussions(sp?) of their actions. Kinda like an "Internet Bad-azz" of knowledge.

Oh, I have plenty of room brother. That's why he wanted me to take it. The only thing is that I can't sell any of it and have to "keep the stuff in the family".

It's all good.

I am in a similar situation with my '88(but mine is not as nice as yours appears to be.)

There is just not too many people interested in C4s right now. I hear this all the time.
I have debated parting it out, but it would take a lot of man-power to pull each piece off and ship. I would be lucky to get $3000 for mine the way it sits.

Yep, for the last two weeks Westbrook has barely scored compared to 34 points a couple weeks ago.

Might as well hang this one up...good win Coach!

As far as the welder, I can't remember what type he told me it was...but it does say "Wire-feed" and it uses a Argon gas supply.

My uncle has been wanting me to come over to his house where he has a semi-trailor in his yard storing stuff that he has collected through the years. He is paying $30/week to have it there and he just wants the trailor gone. He has gotten out of doing any machining or automobile stuff. PLus he has inherited 3 grandkids from their daughter whom has decided she don't want them anymore and can't take care of them.

So anyway, he told me to come over he wanted to give me a few things. Here is a partial list:

Plasma Cutter
Welder with cart and accessories
220 Air Compressor
Portable compressor
Bench grinder
Cut-off saw
4-ton Hydraulic Ram/body kit
5 foot and 3 foot bolt bins including bolts!
Sandblaster
Welding table
Parts cleaner
and a bunch of other little stuff.

I really can't believe it. I don't even know how to use the plasma cutter or welder, but I guess I will be learning!

Being a current '76 owner, lol....I agree that they are not the most sought after, but I wouldn't deny them being "Collectible types". They are over 30 years old and they are getting more sparse every year. They are still "Corvette" regardless of year.

With that said, I would have a much easier time selling my NOM '71 over my Matching Numbers '76 if I decided to sell.

But I have really enjoyed both of them the same and that's why I have them.

Unfortunately, the market is tanked right now and it would be hard to sell any toy for what you want unless you find the right buyer.

Even so, you would probably have me there too. You really have turned your team around..should be good up until the end.

Very True...I should have said.."top two teams" or 1st and 2nd place teams. Besides, if Coach beats me and you win.....we will be tied but you will then automatically be 2nd due to your "7-win" streak.

Good luck!

Well that would have been cool.

I am honestly thinking about just pulling the motor from my '71 and put it in the '76 since its not the original anyway and I plan on swapping a big block into the '71. The motor already has some balls and I would just need to clean it up and paint it. That way I will save some money and still have the '76 original block for a later rebuild or next buyer.

Dunno...contemplating....contemplating....

So, curious, how much does a boat like that cost?

And are you not worried about the uprising cost of wind like everything else in this world?

This was the first week of the "Thursday Night Game".

Looks like some good battles these week. The top two contenders, myself and Coach, both are projected to have 96 points. Should be a great matchup.

Everyone check your byes and injuries.

Also a reminder.....week 15 and 16 are playoff weeks. Our game will end after the 16th week. This means we will not be playing into their NFL's playoffs.

Wow, great info! Thanks for taking the time to type it up.

I have not made much progress at all. My business(and my wife) is still keeping me on my toes and can't find a slow down time. I am hoping to take the block down to the machine shop in the next week or so.
