Hope that everybody that feels lousy gets to feeling better.
My wife , being in the plant business, told me don't buy her any plants as gifts. She's around them all freakin day. Lucky me. I usually just take her shopping for whatever the occasion and go to a restaurant. That gets me off the hook.
Epimax1, I've had impulses to start swinging too, but my wife isn't too fond of the idea. I guess the swingset would take up too much room in the yard. Then I'd have to build a doghouse to go along with it. We bought my inlaws a housewarming gift for the new palace they're finishing. Got them a BBQ island. Pretty nice actually. It's friggin huge and took 6 of us to get it on the patio. Comes with searers, main grill, two burners for pots, a warming drawer, a metal canopy with lighting and a built in mini-fridge. The only other things you need is a digital TV/Radio suspended from the canopy, a 5 gallon bucket with a toilet seat on top, and a nice comfotable chair and you won't have to leave the grill.
It's so great to be retired. Gives me so much time to work around here. Plenty of work around here. A full time jobs' worth of work around here. ............ Later

Going out for a Valentines breakfast and going shopping with the spouse. We always celebrate stuff before or after. To much for doing anything on the day. It's like when I go fishing, I'd rather go during the week because everybody goes on weekends. I pretty well have the whole bay to myself. I guess I'm showing my age. lol.

Mine took a swim in the (clean) toilet and survived. It took another swim in the ocean recently while we were on vacation. I was stepping off the boat and I heard kahplunk. This it did not survive but I did retreive it from it's shallow grave. I bought a duplicate of my phone off ebay for $28.00, put in the sim card and I was as good as gold. Still had all my important #s and info plus I got a new phone case and mobile charger and hands free ear peice. To me, I don't like to drive without it. AAA is just a phone call away.( Not that I usually need them.)

Hope all get to felling better soon. I 've been busy. Got my new (cheap) surround sound receiver all hooked up. It's connected to a Bose 5.1 surround speaker system so it sounds just fine. Replaced a roller today in a sliding glass door. PIA. I've been busy every day. Retirement gives me the time I need to get stuff done.

I violated one of my own rules. Avoid buying electronics off ebay. I wanted to replace a failing Onkyo surround sound receiver. I bought an older model for $95. It wasn't packed well enough for it's weight and came banged up. I got my refund minus shipping but basically I have to remember to avoid buying electronics off ebay. The shipping companies are not kind to these type items. They toss them like a sack of potatoes. Now I have to look for a nice sale item or go check the pawn shops. Another point to consider. Crack heads take about as good care of electronics as shippers. Better scratch the pawn shops. Some of you know I worked for USPS. I was waiting for my final check that was sent on 01/09/09. ............. It got lost in the mail.

I heard that they were recalling C-Rations or K-Rations or what ever the heck they're calling them now rations they were sending to the freeze areas because they had peanut butter packs in them. HELLO .......... Just tell the recipients not to eat the peanut butter or put a warning stamp on the package. Recall- schmeecall. They just throw away money on purpose.

I'm afraid due to the current economic crisis we're going to have to cut back on armoured car guards. Instead of three, we'll use two. Just leave the truck with the money unattended.

Guard #1: You know Louis, opening and closing this heavy door is a real pain in the ass.

Guard #2: Mon Pierre; Why not just leave it cracked?

Guard #1: Brilliant
