Good point. If these countries need security they should hire Wackenhut. I can cut a little slack on natural disaster because everybody needs a little help now and then.
But I'd only help our friends.

What does the U.S. actually sell abroad anymore? Farm tractors? What else? The writing was on the wall for this economy over 20 years ago when it became a service economy. We're paying the price too for not heeding the warnings of the 70's about a looming gasoline shortage and our dependence on foreign oil. You can ignore your problems but it doesn't make them go away. We have a soft economy today and I think it represents the general condition of the American people. They're too freakin soft. (That includes me). No more talk. It's time to roll up our sleeves, put away the rule books amd start getting something accomplished.

I have to admit. The back straight on Talladega is one of my all time favorite racing spots to watch. Car packs, bump drafting and the unbelievale car collections when someone or something errs. This race is truly anybodies game.

Kids are watched a lot closer today. When I was his age we had places to run off and hide so we could play the touchy feely game. Then you were much less likely to run up to an unsuspecting girl and cop a feel. We had a game back then that was a little more painful. Find an unsuspecting boy student standing in total disregard of his surroundings and clock him in the nuts. The paticipants all took a name from Garrisons Guerillas.

I've been wanting to repaint my 90 for several years
but with the cost of painting about 60% to 75% the
value of the car, I just keep waxing it and tolerating
the imperfections. You did a very nice job.

Years ago I enrolled my son an a martial arts class to hopefully, teach him some disipline. One day I got a call from the principle. Some bigger kid was bullying him and punched him. He retaliated and bloodied the kids nose. Needless to say, he got a 3 day suspension. Apparrently his training was pretty good.

Brought the 90 to the shop. Limped on in, Serious power problem. Fuel filter changed, might be the cats. We'll see.
Worked a little around the pool and took a nice Sunday nap. Off to see Mama and family for a few days. Leaving tommorrow A.M. Speaking of power problems. I wish I could find a little extra energy. I don't know if it's a 50 something issue or just me. Sux big time.

Had a problem Thursday night on the ride home. Took a hard left turn and hit the gas and she bogged down and bucked. Read a few articles on similar occurances and started with the fuel filter as I had run out of gas a couple of tankfulls ago. I had about 1/4 tank left so I filled up with fresh gas and added a bottle of V Tec. Replaced the fuel filter but she bogged right down when she warmed up. We're going to replace the precats (maybe) and catalytic converter. The codes it threw were showing a rich mixture.A physical inspection led to the conclusion they needed to be replaced. Can the elimination of the pre cats throw off the readings from the front 02 sensor or will it function fine without them?

Looks like I'm about to join the cats for cars club.

Good point. Do we really need to keep minting pennies? And at $5.00 maybe they'll drop the .9 at the end instead of $4.99 9/10.

Just got back from paying $3.75 for high octane. Hell that's a whole buck and a quarter under 5 bucks. If I spend money on gas that means somebody else isn't getting it. Going out to eat just dropped way down on my list of things to do. It saves me gas money too. My mechanics have been getting their fair share during this economic downturn.
I start vacation for 2 weeks on Saturday 4/19. Whoo Hoo !!! Get to buy lots of gas for my 20. ft boat. Lots of short trips I think. I can burn through 50 gallons on a good day of offshore fishing. It's still less than 1/4 payment on a full day charter boat. Bitchin feels good but accomplishes nothing. Sooner or later EVERYBODY will be passing along the cost of doing business. Buckle up .............

Already paid last month. Could have spent a weekend with a Washington call girl for what they extacted from us. Beautiful day in So Flo. Started in the low 60s with a high in the low 70s. I might just get off my azz and get something going. Maybe I'm being optimistic.I'll try to get something done. Try being the key word.
