I was standing behind a 68 - 435 when the owner started it up. I had forgotten how good a solid lifter 427 sounds, even with mufflers.
then a minute later, a 435 with sidepipes started up.

I saw a clone of this at Carlisle in 2003. If I had been in the market, it would have been mine - even then, they guy was only asking $24k for it! Talk about a deal! Low miles, too. This one is a 1991... the one I saw was a 1992.

Great pics, Bill! Awesome!

I also took 30 or so "technical" pics of 1967's which is the main reason I went.

Beautiful cars.
There are less and less nice C4's that haven't been tinkered with/"personalized" making the clean, bone stock ones that much more desirable.
"Turquoise metallic" was available in '90-'91. Then came Aqua, just a shade different.
Here's my turquoise dream.

Wow.

The ZR1 was the first car I saw when I pulled in, stopped me in my tracks, thought of Joe's.

Hell, I looked at it for 5 minutes before the owner lifted the hood and I realized that it was a ZR1.

I would love to have a ZR1, but it would have to be my "second car" Corvette. I just wouldn't feel comfortable driving it a lot. Maybe not. Put 9k on my '91 already this year.

Awesome pics, Bill! Glad this got bumped up - my network was flaky when you first posted it, and I forgot to go back to gawk.
