Pretty cool - there was an article about this technique in Hot Rod magazine a year or two ago.

the pics are damned impressive.

It confirms my feeling that paint work is all in the post production side of things.

For $26.00 that's insane.

Interesting for a driver, but I'd like to see it up close.

Saw a bunch of posts on a Mopar site where a guy painted a Charger or Road Runner or something that way. He did his in orange. Looked absolutely spectacular.

The thread was like a bazillion pages long, with everyone asking the guy questions.

I would not have thought it would work on a Vette though.

2 weeks to get the paint on?
And he said that he got all the crap off and the woops out with 3 sheets of 600? Yea, right.

He must work for maaco....I knew a body guy who used to work for them and he told me that's how they wanted to operate...they'd give you one sheet of sandpaper at a time. That's how they cut down on wasted material costs.

That looks a lot better than my grand-dads old Rambler that he painted with a roller using white latex house paint and patched the rust with spackle. Now that was a paint job to behold!!

Wow, I thought I was the only one who had ever seen that. Saw a guy do a 53 Olds the same way. Maybe latex doesn't show fingerprints like clearcoat.
