I'd like to give some credit to Summit Racing, again. I bought a starter blanket for the 79 on Wednesday night at about 9 pm. It was shipped by Thursday morning with email confirmation and on my doorstep Friday morning. I think that's super fast. Shipping was only 4.95. Now I can try to get it installed on Sunday if I get a chance. I've always had good luck with their customer service, even if there was a minor mess up.

Just thought I'd share my thoughts.

I really like Summit, spend a bunch there but, I'm lucky, I can drive 10 min. and walk in the door. That way I don't pay shipping.

Plus, the guys on the counter are friends, most are involved in racing (these aren;t the guys on the phone).

But walking thru the showroom is a bitch, I want that, I want that, I want that.

I'm all about the shout-out to good service. I buy something from them and it's at my door the next day without fail (except sunday, of course). I've sent things back a time or two and they refund the money, no questions asked. I like to support the little guys as much as possible, but sometimes the bug guys are all right.

I've had stuff overnighted to the track. And once they offered to stay open late so I could pick up a part (Mid-Ohio is only about 40 min from a Summit store).

Oh, and they reward your loyalty. I get coupons often, for as much as $50 or $100 off.

So...yeah, I'm a fan.

They're top-shelf in my book. They have competitive pricing and great customer service, a winning formula.

I hate them. They have 25% of my income over the last 15 years.

Just kidding. They are great. I also order one morning and have my stuff the next morning. Been to the showroom once, it is awesome!

Summit kicks ass. No sales tax, and instant shipping. Heck, even their phone techs are fairly knowledgeable.

Sure not tax at the time of purchase, but I'm sure you claim it at year end on your tax return.
