have been scratching my head since I brought my car home from the shop the other night. I couldn't figure out why it was running like crap after doing some mechanical work to the trans and rear end. I have been on the phone with Bryan from PCMforLess and the tuner up at Tony's Corvette Shop trying to understand why this car might be running bad. Keith had me looking for an exhaust leak and Bryan must have thought I was just a dumb-butt! LOL

I had loaded and unloaded several .bin files looking for a problem in the tune when at last tonight, I jacked the car up to check the O2 sensor (which by the way was the first DTC code I got last night). The connector for the sensor was dangling free in the air disconnected from the sensor.

I plugged it back it. taped it up good. Reset the PCM and re-uploaded the new .bin file. Cranked it up and took it for a spin. It still ran a little rough for unitl it got up to temp, and then after about 5 minutes it started smoothing out and ran great after that.

Moral of the story:

Always check the too obvious first!!

Sounds like me and my starter issue that turned out to be the battery and ground cable. D'oh!

Glad you got it done.

At least you found it before the plug touched the exhaust and melted!

Reminds me of the guy that pulled his new engine and rebuilt it all over again because it stumbled and ran like ass. Turned out the car was running on fumes.
