It's Friday .... I only know because Friday is one of my favorite days on the Guru. (HCF) Some days I don't even know what day it is. I try to live by the principle that after you retire, you don't need a watch. Haven't got it down yet. After over 1 year in retirement, I can tell you, it's not an easy adjustment but I'm working on it. I can remember when I was a younger buck, I used to say when I retire I'm gonna do this or I'm gonna do that. Well right now I'm in retraining. Really I'm only semi-retired. I still have to keep busy. Our business gives me an opportunity to do that at a pace I can live with. Soon I'll have a few more gurus joining me in the ranks. Looking forward to hearing about your transition.

At this rate I plan to retire about 2 weeks after I die. But in the meanwhile, it's Friday, so I'll just enjoy that. And they mentioned temps in the 40's tomorrow, which is pretty amazing, considering this is traditionally the coldest week of the year.

Tommy I'm looking forward to retirement at the end of this school year. I can spend more time contemplating my next move. Thinking about flipping a few houses. South Bend Indiana was voted by the Today Show #1 in the country for great deals on real estate. Thinking about a trip on Route 66 in the 87 Vette. And yes blogging on CG. Wow 4 1/2 months to go.

Ps Can't wait to put my watch away!! and lose track of the days of the week. Cool.

Change it to: "Some days I don't even care what day it is"

You have to remove the watch from your wrist for that to work.

50 degrees here today and 52 tomorrow, bright sunshine. Then 4 days of rain coming, gack.

Today's game plan: Drive the C4, eat lunch, find my watch to see if it's still running.

Afternoon Gurus. Retirement....according to my calendar, 88 more contract days, but who's counting.....ME! Like Ron, I'll continue working, but on my schedule. 52* right now, a very nice January day. I have some work to do once I get home. Been working on computers off and on today. Tomorrow, I have a grandson playing B-ball (3rd grader), other than that, I am working in the shop trying to make headway on those cabinets. I am supposed to have them done by mid February.
