I am planing to take my wife and son ( Ultrawife and Ultraboy) to the Phoenix area mid March to see a few games and hang out. We have never been in this area before ( we have gone to Florida in the past) and wonder if the Guru's have a few places they would recommend us to stay at. The 4 to $500 per night stuff is not in the budget but wondered what you guys consider a fair deal.

We like a nice pool and if it's close to Baunderant that would be convenient. We are thinking of having Ultraboy do their teen driving course. Thanks Marcus

The Bondurant Teen Driving is a very good program. It's very similar to the "StreetSurvival" schools I instruct in.
Funny thing is that we let the parents ride in the car at days end and many of them say "I can't do that."

If you want to be fairly close to the track, look for hotels in Chandler,Az. I took a quick look on hotels.com and see a Holiday Inn Express at $127, others cheaper. The HIE is one of the recommended at www.bondurant.com.
I'd call them and see what the Boundrant discount is after I got rates from Hotels.c and travelocity.c

Sounds like fun. I took my son to Florida for spring training a couple of years back. Drove the Vette and just stayed at a Motel 8. Thats all we needed. Never been to Arizona other than passing thru.

Been wanting to do that for awhile. He walked in the door the other day and he is taller than I am and out weighs me by 35 lbs and I realized in a short while he will be headed out the door to get on with his life. It is time to quit putting stuff off.

I have deposits on about 4 places from Holiday Inn express to some more upscale places. I will think about it.
