What is the difference AND are these right for my 86 corvette? I already ordered them so...lol....I may be returning them. Ones more expensive than the other though. I got the cheaper ones.

The first one 20002, is for 85-88.

The second is for 89-91.

There is a link on the page, "check application" I'm guessing the difference is the cold start injector.

they won't help much without a high flow base.

What everyone else said. You can try porting your stock base and plenum yourself if you want. With about 25 hours of port work it will flow almost as good as an aftermarket base. I ported the plenum myself and just bought an edelbrock base to go with the runners.

I tried porting it myself and it was a disaster. Id rather pay corvetteplenum.com to do it right. He said it will equate to a superram RPM/powerwise while keeping the stock look.....I will see if he will port my stock base for me. Got to return teh runners. I ordered the wrong ones. :-(

Without seeing hard data and dyno numbers I don't believe that. Regardless, I am also doing a LTR setup. If a superram fell in my lap I wouldn't turn it down, but as of now that's the route I'm going.

What did he quote you to port the intake manifold? You should check with Ron, too.

200 for basic porting. 250 for mega porting. Im going with the mega porting and have him port my SLP runners as well. I already have headers, true dual, no cats, flowmaster mufflers. Once the intake is as ported as it can get, I think that will be wrapping it up for me.

Is the $200/250 for the intake manifold base? If so $200 sounds pretty reasonable for porting, but I don't know how far he'll take that. But just for comparison - if you pay $250 for mega porting - it will flow almost as much as a stock edelbrock 3860. You will pay around $20 to ship it each way, so you're looking at almost $300 for a stock intake manifold (plus the cost of the intake manifold if you bought an extra). I just picked up a brand new 3860 from a guy for $335 shipped (he bought it and never used it). It's around $405 new + shipping. Something to consider. Plus the cost of SLPs, that you are paying $360 for, plus the porting on those is how much? Now factor in the intake plenum and the mega-porting on that. Adds up quick, huh!?!?!

I have a hiflow base , SLP runners , non- ported plenium and fuel rails that I would part with for the right amount.. they're used but not by me if interested let me know I'll send you some pics. I was going this way so I could basically bolt on the new.. no cold start injector and if I wanted to I could bolt back on to stock
