...I'll be buttoning this up tomorrow and dropping it into my '71 Chevelle Convertible.

A few numbers:
4.31 bore X 4.25 stroke (496 c.i.d.)
10.0:1
Cam duration 243/257 @ .050; lift .570/.554 int/exh

All forged rotating stock. Estimated 607HP / 570 lb.-ft., but I'll be choking it with an Edelbrock Performer 2.0 intake for a few weeks. HP/TQ numbers above are estimated for a Victor Jr.
I'm actually considering an RPM Air Gap which (surprisingly to me) should bump those numbers up.

Yeah, it's a my daily driver.

it won't fit in the C4 all that easily... sucks... more than likely would also bend the frame like a pretzel.

I've never done the youtube thing. But I'll give it a go after I get the motor fired up.

It would be a blast to try finding out though, eh?

Did you believe you'd ever see/hear this beast again? You must have lost at least a little faith by now.

OK, one more teaser pic. I gotta get back to work now that the sun is peaking out.

(Oops, I forgot to order tall valve covers. My GM Performance covers don't clear the roller rockers. I thought I lucked out when my buddy had these old Holley covers laying around. Too bad, they don't fit either.)

Technically, they clear the rockers. But take a look at the first pic. The adjusting nuts/studs protrude about an inch beyond the top of the arm.

No biggie. I got some shiny new polished covers yesterday.
