Anyone else have their balancer marker like this? Andy, your 92?
And, interesting, the pic of the hub shows a pointer. I just checked, the pointer points directly at the keyway, at least on my 92. Attach file: IMGP0670.jpg (0.00 KB) IMGP0671.jpg (0.00 KB) |

my balancer looks just like yours, except, no writing on it.
I don't remember what my pointer pointed at! I always marked the pointer and the snout and removed. |

I thought the markings were what the question was about....
If I misunderstood I'll clarify......every stock LT1 balancer I've seen looks just like yours with the exception of the writing. |

So basically somebody marked the balancer for the 360 degree rotation so they could have a visual mark on where they needed to go.

I have all the paperwork from 30k miles to today. The only thing done to the car outside of alternator & w/p was a new clutch/flywheel at 60k. And the first time I took the balancer off it was very tight(normal). So, I'll never know when or why. I posted the pic cause I didn't think it was factory. |
