Yup. It's way to expensive to have them refoamed and releathered up back to factory so I am ordering me these racing seats with the 5th slot insert so I have the option of putting in a harness someday....maybe...

Quiestion, what does it mean by lumbar? Do I need it? I hope not...

Lumbar support is for the lower part of your back. It inflates and deflates to give a more comfortable fit. It cost me $1000 to have my seats redone in leather. Is that $640 plus shipping for 2 seats?

Bunch of sites out there that have free shipping if you buy 2 seats.

NC Kid, just my own personal opinion, but I would always try to actually sit in an aftermarket seat (test drive if possible) before buying... I really think it is important.

I'm going back many years when I bought a pair of Corbeau seats for a Mini Cooper and they were the most uncomfortable seats I'd ever sat in and (in my case) where a deeply regretted purchase. Perhaps Corbeau are improved now, but I still feel that seats are like choosing clothes and have to fit and feel right for the individual.

As Tommy say's, Lumbar support is for your lower back, but I'm not sure that all inflate/deflate so as to be adjustable. Some lumbars can be mechanically (lever/winder) adjusted, some are just extra padding sewn into the seat in a fixed position (some european made seats anyway).

Just my 2c.

That's changed, all the guys who have put these in C4s & C5s say how great they are abd the C5 guys say how much better they are than the stock seats (even talking 200 mile cruises in them).

I do agree somewhat on sitting in some before you buy but, you're really limited with aftermarket seats in a Vette, the A4 is one of the few that fits correctly.

I personnally prefer Sparco but they cost more.

Very possible Bill. As I said, I was talking many moons ago and at that time I just couldn't do any mileage at all without getting aches in my back and bum from Corbeau's. I eventually put the oem seats back in preference and you can imagine how cheap n' cheerfull original Minis seats were.

Anyway, ignore what I said, accepted things have changed.
