93 Corvette, LT1 Automatic. Interior lights would not turn off so after a little tinkering, pushing on door switches, disconecting the battery I ended up pulling the fuses. There's a 5amp fuse and a 20amp fuse a left and a right side I THINK. Anyways they are now off I would GUESS it's the drivers side door switch but before I start buying parts how do I test my theory ? I was thinking I could put the fuses back in pull the switch and cross the wires for the switch. Your thoughts are ?? Thanks in Advance... John

do this... wait 15 minutes.

How many miles? I am betting you have the same problem I do - the ignition switch is worn and the internal contacts sometimes don't do it anymore.

I would suspect the door switch as well. They aren't that expensive. You can try cleaning it but I'd just replace it. Did you try disconnecting it to see what happens?

I had an issue with the door switches on my '92 when I bought it. They were barely being depressed enough when the door was shut. This was fun to diagnose, because I would press one switch and they would stay on. Then try it again and they would shut off. I made a small "C" shaped piece of plastic to slide behind the plastic tab to press the button in more.

Low ambient lighting will keep the courtesy lights on for a longer period.
The switch in the door has an adjustment tab.
Pull it out. Close the door and it will reset itself.
However, This is what caused the same problem on my '91.
The dome lamp relay was stuck on.
It's under the dash next to the radio receiver (on the '91).
It will make an audible click.
I removed mine, rapped on it and it has worked since.
Check your door switch first.

There is a 3amp fuse that is blown ADH or something like that. It doesn't have a name that seems like it should belong to anything....try to replace that one.
