I am addicted to surfing the www.corvettetroubleshooting.com web site.
I stumbled across this nugget: Why do the 1988 to 1996 Corvette's fog lights go out when you turn the high beams on?
This was due to a Pennsylvania state law that mandated this "safety" requirement. WTF?

It is illegal to have fog lights on with high beams in most if not all states of the US.

It was also illegal in Delaware.

I suepect vis is right... if anything, I thought it was a federal regulation.

It's certainly a European legislation (fwiw) and it is a ticketing offense to drive with fogs on when there isn't any fog.

Speaking of fog lights, I think I may have used mine once in 9 years.

Did not know that. Interesting.

I usually use my fogs as running lights at dusk. I usually never have them on when the headlights are on. They are pretty useless for lighting.

I use the fog lights to let the people coming the other way see me better.
