That thing is pretty cool, and looks pretty easy to install if you read the .pdf installation instructions. My problem would be learning what to do with it after I installed it.

What I'd like to see is a complete Datalogger and Editor App written for the DROID / iPhone. That would be cool too!

Now if you can combine that with that iphone program that uses its internal accelerometer to datalog vehicle speed and acceleration, I'm sold.

Enable the Speech setting and Dynomaster will speak your speed and times as well as your progress (60 ft, 1/8 mile, 1/4 mile). This allows you to keep your eyes on the road. Speech will also work with a bluetooth headset.

There's a similar app for the iphone, but it cann't tap into the ecm either.

Check youtube, it had really good reviews. The accelerometer in the iphone is apparently more accurate than the one in the gtech pro!

how's this for an upgrade on Trackmaster?

Quote:
Trackmaster now has Google Street View integration. If you run road rally or you're fortunate to run at Laguna Seca or Thunderhill, you can launch Street View from your session to see a panoramic view of that apex you missed. If your track is not in Street View, encourage them to join the Google Street View Partner Program (it's free) to get their track mapped

IPHONE accelerometer may have a slight margin of error
