Planning on installing my new Corsa cat back exhaust on my 94 LT1 (with original exhaust) this weekend. Haven't checked out their install instructions yet but does anyone have any handy tips? Pretty straight forward install?

it is straight forward... some bolts at the cats could be tight, you may want to presoak the night before, and be ready to replace! I will get the specs for you.
Fitment can be close... sometimes, the pipes may not look quite long enough! Just fiddle until it fits. Don't tighten anything until it is all in place. Give yourself some wiggle room. When done, then get the system welded up. |

As Bogus noted, it's pretty straight-forward. The installation instructions are available on Corsa's website. Follow them, and it'll generally go pretty well.
I did have to shave around a half-inch off of the end one of the pipes to make everything fit well on mine, but YMMV. Other than that, it all fit pretty well on my car. I did a lot of fussing around to get things positioned as well as could be done, but all in all, it wasn't a particularly bad job. I didn't weld anything, and I won't, as I'd prefer to be able to remove the system in pieces, rather than having to wrestle the entire cat-back in/out as a unit (not an easy proposition when working without help on a Kwiklift, as I do). Live well, SJW |

I did this exact install a few years back. The best tool I can suggest is a two post lift and another person to help. It's pretty straight forward. I'd also suggest soaking the bolts, nuts and other fasteners the night before. I still broke one bolt where it attached to the cat on the drivers side.
I did have a two post lift, but did the install all by myself. Corsa's installation instructions are great. You won't have any problem. |

Personnaly, I use just a bit of anti-sieze when sliding the pipes together. It makes it so much easier to rotate the pipes to get the position you want and dosen't affect clamping or welding.
And, IIRC, the Corsa's hace dual tips. I use a 6 ft level (or straight edge) held up to the bottom of the tips on both mufflers to make sure the tips are straight. |

Congrats on the Corsa! Sounds like a lot of work... I suggest scrapping the idea and sending it to me LOL

Now that I'm done I'll add a tip that someone else mentioned. Before you tighten up the clamps jam a piece of wood or something in between the pipes and the rearend where clearance is tight. 1/2 to 3/4" thickness will do. After you tighten everything pull it out and the pipe will stay down more.
