2011 Memorial Day Car Show Winner!

I'm am likely going to sell my Magnaflow Axle Back 3" Mufflers and am wondering what you guys think is a fair price I can expect to receive. They are in excellent condition and have probably less than three thousand miles on them. They were clamped to the system with only two small tack welds under the clamps on each pipe to keep them aligned properly. I'll grind the tack welds smooth for the next guy. Other than that they are in great shape. I paid about $450 with shipping if I recall. Magnaflow sells them for $475 from their website.

Don - I found that system on hottexhaust with a coupon for $386.49 with free shipping.
I'd probably put it up for $300/local best offer and see if anyone bites, maybe you'll get $250. Matthew |

Some time next week I will be installing a set of Factory LT1 Mufflers back on my car to see how they sound behind the bigger engine and headers. If I like what I hear the Magnaflows will be for sale. If not... they may still be for sale... Last week I removed the Maganflow X Pipe and replaced it with a factory LT1 resonator. At first I thought it was worse, but now after driving the car around town for a week or so, I think that it has reduced the drone somewhat in the RPM range where it was worse. Anyhow, if your not in a rush, check back to this thread over the next month or so. August is going to be real busy for me as I have a Corvette Club event every weekend until the end of the month with Corvettes at Carlisle. I'm not sure if I'll still have them on the car or not by then. Keep you posted! |

Biggrizzly- Thanks for the welcome and update on the Magnaflows. Will be checking back to see what is happening and what I can learn! The LT1 is totally different than my '67Camaro. Technology has come a long way-
