So, I got bored on the Guru today (maybe cause Tommy's busy ) and just had to click Craigslist.

Floor standing drill press, 3/4 horse with 12 speeds for $65.00

Now I got 2 drill presses and 2 air compressors but I'm going to sell my Craftsman compressor for $75.

Why do you need a 12 speed drill press when you only work in one speed. And three quarter hp? You need less than a half.

Somewhere in my archive of old school snapshots, I have a couple of pictures of Les Shockley's Shockwave that I took at the 1984 AHRA Grand American Nationals at US 30 Dragstrip in Merrillville, IN. I believe that was the last national event ever held at that track, as it closed its' doors for good at the end of that season.

The truck had the exact same paint scheme it has in the video. Good stuff! Thanks Tommy!

I was thinking about a drill press, but have decided to convert a manual knee mill to a CNC mill. Best of all worlds.

I bought this press because of the speeds, it goes down to 250 rpm. A dual cross slide vice is $70 and a couple of end mills - for rougher milling but you can still make some parts.
