Do I need to trim all of them, or just the center ones, when going to 1.6 rockers? I am putting LT1 covers on an LT4 head.
Then there are short 'tubes' that appear to thread into the heads that the centerbolt valve cover bolts go thru. Do those tubes simply unthread out of the heads? |

Can't help you on the drip tab question, but yes, those standoffs just thread into the heads. The valve cover bolts are stubby little buggers and screw into the standoffs.

I removed all of them. I think the covers are the same but might be wrong.

I just grabbed them with a good pair of pliers at the base of the tab and broke each one off. No mess, no fuss. I could have used a little cut-off wheel but the pliers worked great. I won't be responsible for broken valve covers, but it really worked well for me that way.

That's what I did, used a Dremel tool and a small cut off wheel. I like the Mag valve covers as you can powder coat them and they stay clean. Mine are even flamed. The standoffs are already in the mag covers.
