Trailer trash. They did not cause any of the problems that our country faces today. They did not get mortgages they couldn't afford. They did not run banks to the ground with greed. They did not use investors for their personal benefit. They don't even belong to the unions that ask too much of their companies.

I'm tired of paying mortgage bills, utility bills, property taxes.

I want to live more simply, pack up the dogs and move into a travel-trailer.

I wouldn't mind being called 'trailer trash', but I wanted to get your opinion.

Bill, that's a sweet camper. An uncle of mine who was a C4 owner lived like that for a while in a camper. However, he hauled his C4 on an enclosed car trailer behind the camper. He could also use it for storage and as a rolling man cave away from the inside of the cramped living quarters.

I like the idea of a car under the camper but I wonder how much space you are giving up for the extra cost when you could simple pull ANY car behind you...instead of settling for whatever car fits in that belly pan.

A couple years ago, I toyed with the idea of selling my house, getting a big coach and a 60 x 40 shop. Keep the motorhome in the shop, out of the weather, etc.

True.

A coach like this one is probably too long to pull a decent trailer. You have to be careful. The guy who owned the race shop I worked in had to look quite a bit to find a motorhome that was 34 feet max. The racetrailer was a 24 ft. but when measured came out to 29 foot with the tongue, etc. that put the rig at 63 1/2 feet.

To drive anything that's 64 feet in Ca., you need a CDL.

I toyed with the idea 5 or more years back. I'm glad it passed or I'd have a motorhome sitting next to my boat. And sitting, and sitting, and sitting .................

Ok but only if I can hop into the Benz while the "trailer" is on autopilot, and the ramp shoots out and I can drive off while still in motion.
