... his presence is still strong in Philadelphia.

I took a different route home tonight; the Market-Frankfort El(evated), which goes right past/over the original WFIL American Bandstand studio.

It's a business incubator now, completely repurposed, but they don't deny the history: the last time I was there they still had one of the original Rate-A-Record props.

Yeah heard that on XM today.....Bandstand was part of the background theme music of my life....50's and 60's especially....RIP.

Wow... Dick Clark... like Don Cornelous, a voice of a generation. Hell, the voice of GENERATIONS.

I suspect most of us grew up watching Bandstand, and being from Delaware, it's Philly roots were major important.

A good run he had. A run we will always remember.

How ccol is it to live your life doing what you love, meeting famous people, making people famous, all while making money at it? There are a lucky few of those that do. Getting to make it to 82 doing it is just a bonus.
