I didn't see anything unusual in the foreclosure. So she is raising her grandkids. Where is the baby mama and the baby daddy? And why is everybody so ready to get arrested. She may be a sweetheart but it's pay or go. Plain and simple. I never heard of cancer saving somebody from an eviction. Everybody could chip in and buy her a house if they're so worried about her becoming homeless.

It's an unfortunate situation, but yes, if they're so concerned, they should get out their checkbooks.

Pay the mortgage first then food then the medical then the credit cards.

The medical bills may get you a lein on the house.....but you still have a house.

She retired from the police at age 51 because of "injury", does she have no pension, medical coverage?
Sad, but people find themselves into a situation and then want a bailout. Does her daughter have a job, husband, child support, welfare check? And on and on.... Pass the hat.

It sounds like a local problem. Plain old low income housing or a section 8 voucher would work. Sounds like she qualifies. What gives her the right to stay? She got caught. She borrowed against her house and her house of cards tumbled. Walk away. Sell your excess goods and start over again. Rent an apartment they can afford. How old are these grandkids anyway? 26 and under? Am I missing something in this? I think I'm missing a lot.
