Well I was out shooting my P98 when John took her out for a test drive. Stalled a couple times but that is what I brought it in for. Guess it is the part the computer talks to has 4 pins plug in that is causing it to stall only when you are driving and when comeing to a stop. Was the reason I was bring it in. John will fix that.

Big problem is the one piece rear main seal leaks at about 3000 rpms. Not at an idle. We replaced the seal that my son installed. John is going to pull the transmission and see that the one piece is conected correctly. It leaks very little. I don't want it to leak at all.

John test drove it and he found out what I had told him about this transmission. Can spin on a dime in low gears and at 75 miles an hour less than 1700 rpm. Awsome gas millege. Average about 27 on freeway

Dam new GMC truck only got 15.6 mpg on way to beach sat.

Hopefully that r/m seal just needs to be run a bit to seal properly.. You never know , if it was installed properly it should not leak though. 27mpg WOW! ;)

We talked about driving it to see if it seals but haven't ever had to do before. I will talk to john who is sick of working on vet. He suggested I try that too. I want it back too.

Andy, the existing crank will be offset ground to
increase stroke, then we will need pistons with a different wrist pin location to increase stroke aswell.

Sorry I can't send you another one right now. My engine is great. Trying to work out electrical problems that are making the 383 run wrong. Many things to check.

Could be results of the fire still. Fan main stopped working Fan works fine replaced the relay and lamo wires melt. Like fan is drawing too many amps. Idle problem. may be dist??
