Well it's been awhile. Finally home. I just read a post about a wrecked C4. Driving in wet with slicks. Reminds me of my move back here to St.Paul last fall. I went out early Sunday am. for final AX. of season in MN. Of course I haven't driven here in 35 years. It was cold, but appeared dry. So I drove to track on 335" shaved slick Kumho V700's. It was only suppose to be a 10 minute drive. Of course the city was totally cut in half by a marathon. I had to detour all the way downtown, and a wonderful interchange called Spaghetti Junction. I went downhill Summit hill sideways and right into it. The guy behind honking, lucky the top was off, so I could properly signal him. I was attempting to check the GPS. but my attention was more on keeping car on the road. So I got lost on a freeway going the wrong way. It seems there was still a little frost on the road. I don't believe I hit more than 45mph. And that was ice drifting' .. An hour later, completely stressed, I made the stadium. Missed the drivers meeting, went right on course first. No idea of the course or condition. It was small and shitty'.. full of old gravel & frost. I hit the timing light start sideways, great way to begin. Then slaloms tank slapping virtually out of control. I tried a second time, but decided better not to run over spectators, in the words of Bob Marley "He that fight and run away, live to fight another day" .. Lesson: I should never have gone out that day' .. I was very lucky to get home in one piece that day. Hopefully spring will come soon' .. Pic' view from backyard, snow melting. And view from front seat in Wyoming: 50to70mph. winds. I pulled over that night. Have some fun video from Galaxy S3 dashcam .. looking for place to upload, not YouTube, any ideas .. Free is best.

Ya thanks, great to be home for a spell. Almost left for Omaha Sunday, good thing I didn't. More ice and wind. Nice to be home in warm bed. But also ready for road adrenaline. I went ahead and posted a very sanitized version of some video on YouTube, as best I could under circumstances. The dialog is hard to filter out of the satellite radio in tractor. I am sure the copyright freaks will be after me shortly .. I have had many problems with YouTube and copyright infringement claims. Sometimes threats to delete my account. Oh well, fuk em' if they can't take a joke. We will see how long it remains up': The best infringement claim was by this guy Fox Agency, he claimed rights to the Star Spangled Banner sung live at an outdoor event .. Beautiful version of song by very young girl: http://youtu.be/3GhUNc5cMgs ,I contested and won, it still belongs to US. '12Days18Wheels' .. http://youtu.be/uBXqJ9IAD7g

Ha, don't know if anyone here noticed the 'little nuances' .. Like the Runaway truck Ramps not Plowed' .. To go up them, you have to roll. Funny to watch all the news, usually an 18Wheeler caught up."Fukin' trukkers" Forget the little asshole that cut in front and slammed on brakes .. Oh Shit, I had to exit. 'Stage Left.' There was a Mac&Donna's .. "But girl had to pee"

Yeah the Big O is not where you wanted to be the other night. I came back from Lincoln yesterday and there were lots of big trucks in the ditch...some on their sides.

This all reminds me of some music....

Ya, a Winnebego with Torque. Thanks man for the songs. Few understand. Just home a week, girl wants me back on road. Me too. We watched Rubber Duck last night, 'again', Lame but fun .. fell asleep. Monday am. I have to do orientation with a new company .. Perfect for me. Blizzard and 7 inches snow. Just need some weight on drives. '10-4' .. Awhile ago, through Wyoming, picture I placed. Kids got caught up in crosswinds. I pulled over. They didn't make it. It was hard. Anyway, I am 'Newb' on Monday morning .. like here on Corvette Guru.

Ya, I am sure it will, just give me lots of snow and ice .. I guess that is the advantage of growing up in N.Wisconsin.
But lots of fun in between ..
