I have been chasing an oil leak in my 1996 LT4. Tracer is showing its the oil filter housing. I put new gaskets on but its still leaking and appears to be the housing its self. Where can I locate a oil filter housing. GM parts is showing not available anymore.??

Call one of the Corvette parts recyclers like Vette to Vette.

vette2vette.com might have a used one. That is a very unusual part to leak. Usually it is the rear of the intake manifold sealer, which in turn runs down by the oil filter.

Exactly my thinking.

It would be odd if the housing is leaking. It would have to be scarred or something bad to leak past the gasket and o-ring.

If it turns out to be coming from the intake, check the torque on the bolts. Mine were a bit loose on both ends, causing leaks.

33 ft lbs if I remember correctly. Another FYI - Advanced, Autozone, and NAPA here had the part wrong on the LT4. They get kept sending me LT1 gaskets and insisting that they were correct for the LT4. Wrong! LT4 is different.
Also at idle I could not see my leak, but once the engine was revved up it was very visible.

I am going to check the intake today but I will reorder the gasket and make sure its for the LT4. Trying to get the engine stuff completed before I take on the suspension.

I was referring to the intake gasket, NOT the oil filter.
