I just going to post a few pics.
I went to the first event to see Gary (the guy with the paint booth) and to talk to his buddy who has a frame rack.

First car I saw was Gary's Mustang.

I should have taken more shots of this T-Bird, it was just killer. Had orange pin stripes on perfectly flat black paint. Had had something I've never seen, The black paint has orange metalflake in it. the flake was spaced 1/2 to 2 inches AND it disappeared when you moved one way or the other. Never seen flake that acted like pearl.

Probably 90% of the cars are from out of state.

But, yea, I know a lot of people with money here, makes me feel insignificant cause I have none.

You can appreciate an older car the older it gets. That 63 T-Bird (and others) are bad to the bone.

Better book now. That's if you can even book at all. What do you say Bill? Availability?

I don't know, but I have a room reserved.

Participation has dropped a little bit but It's hard to tell it when you look in the parking lots.

I don't know how far you can book ahead but fer sure the room rates go up.

I think I'll head to Vomit Jackson in the morning, supposed to be 100 exhibits but, I doubt that I'll go into the auction. That would just piss me off (I want that, I want that, I want that),,

Besides, I already have a hotrod to play with.

I had suspension parts spread all over the shop this afternoon. I'm putting together a parts list to order, about $1k's worth. It's absolutely mind numbing to try and figure out exactly what to order and what you have that's good to use.

Like just the gas tank, do I have all the correct bolts? Donno, have to look at all the parts again, figure where the bolts that mount the crossmember to the frame are, where the bolts to mount the tank are then order tank strap pads, anti squeak pads, new gas cap (with the correct date), gas cap filler neck cork gasket, connector for the overflow, overflow hose, overflow hose inner spring, sender gasket.........just for the freekin' tank.

Then start on the front & rear suspension parts, new fuel lines & clips, new brake lines and clips, etc.

I met the bodyshop guy this morning, hopefully he can get the frame in his shop by Thursday. Which means that I need to pull the body NOW and borrow an open trailer.
