hey guys, i want to lower the rear of my car. the front is already lower than the rear, so i thought i could just swap in some longer bolts for the rear... i plan on just going to the hardware store to get the bolts, but what length and what grade should i get? i assume that i should just get some that are 1 inch longer than stock, but don't know what grade to get. thanks in advance,

chris

You want the best grade possible. If you stay with the stock size of 14mm, you'll want metric grade 10.9. If you get a 9/16 bolt as a replacement, you'll want a grade 8. A 10" bolt will give you the capability for lowering it beyond anything you'll ever want on a street car. Get a pair of locking nuts to go with whichever bolts you use and you're done.

It will take some time to settle, so you might have to make several adjustments to get the look you want. Get yourself a 4 wheel alignment when you're done.
