Good Morning CGs!

Yesterday was the official water heater install day. When I actually got the opportunity to inspect the unit it was in much worse shape than I thought it would be. 19 years old so no complaints there except my father-in-law not paying attention to things. Yes granted we don't always check our water heaters but still. Dielectric unions were seized so I had to cut those off but that's not a big deal. The worst part was when I went to move the unit it was so corroded that the shut-off valve broke and started spewing water everywhere. I got that cleaned up and got the new unit installed without any further issues. Still a giant pain in the butt. Although it's saved 800 bucks so it's worth it at the end of the day.

Took RR#1 to the DMV yesterday and got her permit. It's official, she can terrorize the road under adult supervision.

That's it for me. Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning,
sun is out today but cooler, no complaints here. Working on a last minute trailer thing for a lady they can't seem to get their crap together. They have a 40K trailer but were caught off guard at the wrap price and asked for payments. seriously? You can afford that but not the wrap? They downsized their wrap to fit their budget and she started blowing my phone up while I was still in the shower. That's why I don't give my cell out to folks. They abuse it. She'd already bothered the owner for the last hour, and he worked late last night and has family at home visiting. I guess he'll be mad when he gets here.
I go to the kidney doc this afternoon for my 2 week post op checkup. Maybe he'll let me drive. Having to be shuffled around is getting on my nerves. fingers crossed

..hope that goes well for you VB...

I found our resident squirrel laying on the step flat as a pancake this morning... we told him going across the road was not going to work out well for him..... I have been feeding him corn so he wouldn't wander but his rebellious nature contributed to his demise.... our acreage dog must have brought him to us..... hope another one shows up someday....

More mulching.... gone thru 7 yards of it so far....and that does not count the 4 yards of cottonwood mulch we put on the new play area...... the mulch store knows us by name...

keep making it happen Guru's

You can have all of our squirrels, Marcus. They are a nuisance here.

Not that I ever have an opinion on anything but I shared this with our local Nextdoor page.

"Florida is a hotbed of development. Even rural areas north are feeling the impact. Realignmenting of American farming, affordable housing sites and wide open spaces are all contributing to the demise of the once great hometown feel of Homestead. Now it's lost. Much of it at the the hands of families that have lived in Homestead for decades. Crime is rampant. Kendall back in the 70's is a flashback of what's eroding Homestead now. You would think that governing bodies would have learned through previous mistakes. There you go thinking again. Well at least you'll have a new Flanagan's, Chik Fil A and Canes. Lots more to follow. The consumer driven society is at work."
