GOT ALL THE FIRST OF THE MONTH TASKS TO DO, GOT A LITTLE HEAD START ON SOME YESTERDAY. LOOKS PRETTY RAINY, MAY TRY TO MOW SOME; WHAT FUN THAT WILL BE :-|

AND IN THE NEWS:
THERE'S BEEN AN OUTBRAKE OF COMMON SENSE AT THE SUPREME COURT. LET'S HOPE IT BECOMES AN EPIDEMIC!

ALLONS, AMIGOS.

Good morning, slept in, have my '52 stainless percolator working for me a real cup of coffee to get my day going. Already beyond muggy and hot here, 103 expected, then chances of storms later. I'd just soon stay inside all day, a hot pool feels more like a bathtub. Plus I need to clean house. Arron has worked till nearly 10 every night this week, he's probably gonna sleep all day, so whatever I do on this end of the house I'll have to be quiet at. Can't clean quietly or with a man in the house, so prob not much gonna get done round here.

Good Morning CGs!

Back from the Black Hills (unfortunately). Drove 950 miles home last night and got back at 11:30. 2450 miles total in the last week. A lot of driving but absolutely loved it there. We went to Mt Rushmore twice it was so nice. Also hit the badlands twice. Wish I had an extra day or two because we just kept finding more things to do. I highly recommend visiting if you've never done so.

I think next year's trip will be mammoth caves national park in Kentucky. We'll see.

Time for chores.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Sad day for us. We had to put down my mother's other cat, Mitzi, today. She was struggling with life so we knew it was time to put her to rest. She made it to an amazing 20 years old. Mickey and Mitzi moved in with us afetr my mom passed. They are all together once again in the Great Beyond. I can never put them down without shedding a tear. My neighbor's son, 14, was involved in an atv accident around two weeks ago a few blocks from the house. They air evaced him to a trauma unit. He still hasn't regained conciousness. Needless to say my neighbors are freaking out a bit. Overcast grey day with sad news filling the air.
