Hey guys, left pretty early to go get GGD yesterday. KanDrive showed roads clear until we got about 20 miles south of where we pick her up. Well, that wasn't exactly accurate. snow packed and icy until we got 20 miles south, then those roads were clear. When we got there I checked again and then it showed correctly. By the time we headed back, the roads had cleared up.

Today Rosie has a dental appointment, so GGD and I are buddies. When Rosie gets back we're going to head up to work on the kitchen project. I have crown moldng to put up and need an extra hand to help hold. GGD will have some things to play with.

Supposed to warm up into the mid 40s today, so melting should occur. Have a great day Gurus.

Good morning, sunny here and headed to 34. Most roads were clear on my way in except my street and the next one, after that, once I left my town stuff was fine. My town sits on their asses and whines they don't have trucks, manpower etc. Yet, as I left town, a worker in a city truck was just sitting on the side of the highway scratching his ass. A plow blade can be had for $1200 and give his lazy self something to do. The plow that did come through didn't hardly have a blade down. The tiny town up the road with 500 in it had 3 scrapers when I went through. My town has 7000 and zilch. Has a lot of folks irritated.
Slow day here thankfully as I've not slept much in the last few days, already ready to get home.

I'm alive. Been busy. Sat. unpack Sun. Casino. Mon. Cleaned house. Wash machine died after about 5 1/2 years. They don't make them like they used to. Rather than repair it we went out last night and bought a new one. Sue picked one wuith a lot of bells and whistles and a 5.5 cube drum. I prefered the smaller more economic models, but aguing with her was pointless so we bought the one she wanted (and the one I use as thr housekeeper. ;) ) While we were there we have an ancient freezer in the garage that always ices up around the seals. She's ugly (rusty) but works great. So we bought a new freezer as well. Hopefully the new washer will last longer than 5 years. We did not take out extended warranties. If it works the first year while covered under the factory warranty it should hold up for the duration. They wanted about 20% of the new cost for the extended warraty. I'm not worried about the freezer as much as the washer. Laundry room appliances seem to be throw away items nowadays with the cost of motherboards. We are giving the old ones to an appliance guy we know to do what he wants with them.

Saw our 1979 928 that got wrecked today when we dropped off Sues Porsche for some work. They have a replacement hood for it and fixed the broken front end components.Still need the fender, front bumper and a host of other things. The shop owner is doing a slow restoration on it. I really don't want to see that car ever again but It's where we take Sue's 911 for work.

Back to work. The freezer and washer come tomorrow so I have to do some prep. Adious amigos and amigas.
