I don't have a torque wrench. I'm looking to buy one. I will use it infrequently at best. The first need will be when I put the wire looms on, and have to torque the new longer bolts in place.

So, I'm looking for cheap, but servicable. I don't want total crap, but I don't need professional quality.

Saw this at harborfreight:

Comments? Suggestions?

Let the nay sayers say what they will....

I've had craftsman stuff forever and they work well for the weekend warrior, just not for the pro . Of course Matco or Snap on if you want to spend $$, The harbor freight tools are usually total junk

I went to my local Sears. They have a cheapie with the dial for about $30. Then they have a click wrench, but that's about $70. I'm trying to find the best balance of cost versus how I'll use it.

I have a couple of the Harbor Freight cheapies - a ft/lb and an in/lb. If they were something I used every day, I'd probably spring for something more expensive, but they seem to work fine for what I need.

What bolts will you be torquing? The wrench you linked to is 1/2" drive, it sounds like major overkill for wire loom bolts unless they attach to a head bolt.
My fear with those who don't wrench every day is that they sometimes blindly follow the torque wrench indicator right up until the moment the bolt snaps off.
Make sure you understand the spec, (is it foot lbs. or inch lbs.?) and is the wrench set correctly?
For occasional weekend work either Craftsman or HF should be adequate assuming you follow the above.
