Good Morning Gurus!

Guess I'll start it off.

My boss is leaning toward giving the position I wanted to the other guy. So that probably means I will take the severance package, and attempt to get my own production business off the ground.

I am nervous and excited at the same time. It has been a long time since I had to live by my wits, rather than just collect a check every two weeks. Been here twelve years, come November. Leaving will be bitter-sweet.

If I listened to country music, I guess I would play it backwards!

So, here's to bright futures, and not working for THE MAN!

How's your day looking?

Had my own business for quite a few years now. It has its advantages and disadvantages. What ever you decide, I wish you the best of luck.

A lot of being in business for yourself is having a good reputation and a few good connections. Word of mouth does wonders.

My wife, sis in law and mom in law just went off to get manicures and pedicures. My wife wanted me to go too. I passed on the opportunity and instead I'm opting for a mid summers day snooze. Any of you boys ever had a pedicure or manicure?

Um, nope.

I don't like people other than family touching me. I would be very uncomfortable with that. Especially a pedicure. Even a massage is out of the question for me.

Reputation and contacts for building my business: CHECK!

Besides, the polish from last week's mani/pedi combo still looks fresh.

Fixed it for ya! (yeah, I can play that game, too!)

Good afternoon CGs!

Not a whole lot going on. Got in a quick nap today and I'm ready for the weekend! At the in laws right now hanging out, they love to see the baby. Hand is feeling better, but I wanted to do some brakes and other miscellaneous things, but I don't know if I'll get to it or not. My mom and dad are coming in from out of town, so maybe he'd like to help me with it. One of those father son bonding moments. Almost like a hallmark card.

Hope everyone has a great day, and bring on the weekend!

Matthew

PS - Chris, good luck with everything!

Dude......... I just condensed your own words. You gave me a whole new identity, although an apricot facial sounds very refreshing.

By that you must mean that you feel like a whole new person once freshly waxed.
