They passed a law in MN recently banning texting while driving - bravo! They could ban talking on cell-phones while driving as far as I'm concerned, too - the statistics are about as bad as texting. More often than not, if I see somebody holding up traffic, its some moron yakking away on their phone.

Then it should be punished like DUI.
$10,000 fine. 6 months in jail second offense, and five years if you get caught three times in your life. either DUI is over punished to a ridiculous level, or texting is under punished. |

Why do they care whether the phone has keys or a touchpad or not? You shouldn't be texting regardless.
As for the in-car DVD, I wired my friend's up so all he has to do is push a button and it triggers the ebrake and shifter inputs to the stereo. Watching 'gone in 60 seconds' while driving was just a tad bit dangerous. |
