OK everyone. I've got a 90 sittign int he shop with QA1 coilovers on it using a Eibach 2.25 inch diameter springs. The front sway bar is barely hitting the springs at ride height. It will get worse with droop. This car is super charged so the sway bar is actually dropped down from the frame a bit to clear the intercooler piping. I'm having a hard time finding a solution that's simple. Does anyone have one or make a product that solves the problem? Has anyone else had this issue or is the lowering blocks causing this? If you've got a product, call me. Number's on the website.
Thanks Trey www.speedhound.com |

Adjustable endlinks, or you relocate the bar forward. Those are your two options.

I have an 85 and moved my sway bar forward as well as made up new endlinks and mounts for them. I took some 1/4 inch plate, cut pieces large enough for the sway bar mounts to sit on and welded them to the frame. Then drilled and tapped holes for the bushing mounts for the sway bar to mount to. I had to trim the fan mount to allow the sway bar to slide forward enough.

Bought Heim links from Exotic Muscle, a little pricey , klkordzi has a better low cost solution if you are so inclined

Doesn't somebody offer offset bushings? That will get you clearance if you're close.

I guess I won't complain about the EM links being $190 if nobody else offers them. klkordzi, what does your setup look like? |

You could make an adapter plate, kinda like they do for wheels.

Trey & I have spoken a few times over the last couple days and I'm happy to say that some adjustable front swaybar links that I recently built are on the way to him.
I hope to be putting these same links on my car in the near future and pending testing and feedback hope to offer them later this year. I am in the process of building some links for the rear swaybar as well and hope to offer both very soon. Please keep an eye open for more info on this as it becomes available. |

Its been over a year since I bought the parts and think I got them from Jegs. Anyway I used a male rod end and what looks like a female rod end with a longer shaft. From what I remember you could get them in different lengths. I then fab'd up a mount from a piece of 1/4 inch angle steel that used the same mounting holes on the a arm but because of the "L" of the angle it moved the mounting point for the end link forward. I'll get a couple pics tomorrow and post them. I'll also see if I have the shipping lists to try to get the part numbers

The sway bar end link mounts are different for the 88-96 cars on the A-arm.

In case you don't see it in the other thread
Glad I'm going with narrow body shocks, so I can put smaller diameter springs on.
