Went to the track today. Weather was so-so, about 80 degrees with a 10-15 MPH headwind.
My best pass of the day was: 1.84 7.78 @ 92.38 11.98 @ 118.61 That was my only 11 second pass. I had a couple 12.2's, but just about every pass was 118 MPH. All in all, I'm pretty happy with the car. I'm not too impressed with my ability to launch the car, but the engine performed well. 118 MPH right out of the box is about what I expected, and I think with some fine tuning and a few more miles on the motor it will see 120. If I could have driven the car well I think it would have have gone 11.6 or so today. I plan to dyno the car soon to really dial in the tune, then make one more track trip before pulling it apart and swapping to the AFR heads. |

Those are nice runs. The 118 MPH is the horse power indicator, the dyno. Very interesting and good job.
RACE ON!!! |

Hopefully, I'll get it on the dyno some time this week and really nail down the tune. I'll keep everyone updated.

Great times and MPH
Especially since you were traction limited. |

I was actually driver limited. I was on ET streets, so traction wasn't an issue. Some guys can just get in a car and drive the crap out of it; unfortunately, I don't have the talent to just jump in a new car and nail the ET on my first track trip. It usually takes me 30-50 passes before I really start to figure out the launch.
The ET isn't really that concerning to me anyway, the MPH tells the story about how the engine is performing. |
