I usually don't make annoucements of this type, but, since it really helps the Guru, I figured I would.

If you are considering wheels for your Corvette, this is the time to do it!

After June 1, the commission rate drops! So if you want rims, and want what they offer, this is the time!

That's it, just click on a Tire Rack banner and shop as normal.

I plan on buying tires from them, but not yet. They also don't have the rims I want so I have to get them elsewhere.

the only reason shared was that if someone was close to pulling the trigger, do it so we can get the best bang for it!

Tires are tires and the commission is the same regardless.

Unfortunately they don't carry Nittos. That's the only tire I'll be buying anytime soon.

I thought they did? Or is that the operative work, "did?"

I picked up some new Kumhos... I refuse to pay the admission price for the Toyos. Great tire, yes, but not worth twice the price of the Kumho.

I use Kumhos as well. Have tried several different kinds and for what I get for the money I keep coming back to them.
I can't afford wheels at the moment, but once things slow down for me I plan to paint my wheels.

I really like the Kumho's. They are a quality tire at a great price. I am sure, from a technical perspective, that Goodyear F1s or Michelin Pilots are a better tire, but are they 100% better? I mean, the EX's that I just got (replace the MX) are $158 each... the others are well over $200 and nearing $300... Also, 18" tires are EXPENSIVE!!!!!

I hear ya about affording.

It's purely a luxury purchase... But if someone was close to making that plunge, this would be a great time to do so and help the guru! Win-win!

I just tried to get a quote for new tires for my Durango on Tirerack, and the quote they gave me was $200 more than what it would cost me locally, which includes balance and rotation.

The Nittos would be for the track. This would also allow me to go with a harder, cheaper street tire. And that could be a Kumho.

The Nittos are good track tires... so are the Hoosiers.

There is one other aspect for me here in CA... sales tax! That adds 9.25% to any purchase I make. If I can remove that bugger from the tab, it really saves.
