Our Wal-Mart is a 24 hour variety. And there is a Subway in it. May have a peek if I'm ever in there that early.

Fortunately for me, Pueblo's large Mexican community provides some of the best breakfast burritos on the planet. And great food, in general. YUM!

Breakfast from a New York style deli is not a bad thing. But the thought of a Subway breakfast doesn't sound overly appealing to me.

Footlong omelet? Disgusting. I try to avoid all that, saving money is just one excuse. It's all junk calories that your body either converts into fat or shit. You'd get a better diet eating dog food these days. Many of the large restaurant franchises publish their nutritional values now. Check the menu next time you're at Applebee's before you order that 1,400 calorie salad.

I watched a documentary on corn production yesterday, it's amazing how consumer (cost) driven the industry is. Nothing else matters. The problem is the consumers are the least qualified to make those decisions over food quality and content.

From my perspective, Subway has several major hurdles that will be hard to overcome. First, they don't typically have drive-through service, which is so popular during breakfast hours. (Who gets up early enough to go inside for a leisurely breakfast? I suspect most Egg McMuffins are consumed on the freeway during the drive to work, in between checking e-mail and applying makeup.)

Add chatting on the cell phone and blogging while picking up a cup o'joe from your convenient cup holder as you read your Tom-Tom.

Like the author said, no one will want to get out of their car to get a subway breakfast. It might work in some congested city areas where people are already walking around in the morning, but other than that it will fail.

There's a subway here with a drive-thru. It's faster to just go inside.

That documentary was on PBS. This group of students planted an acre of corn and followed it through the entire production process.

I don't count calories, but I do like feeling healthy at the end of the day.

Most foods served there are so loaded up with sodium and garbage I wouldnt eat it.
Now a huge omelette I can do , I eat a chitload of eggs (mainly whites) each week. Id bet 6-7 dozen or about 4 large containers of egg beaters a week. Never get tired of eating breakfast.
