Good Morning CGs!

Well, is everyone sleeping in and resting up after all of their holiday cheer? Some of us have work to do and don't have that luxury!

I hope Santa was kind to everyone. We did most of our presents on Xmas Eve, but my wife and I still haven't exchanged gifts. We didn't get a chance yesterday because of work and parties. Went to bed around 10:30 or so and we were too tired. Not as big of a deal once you're a "grown-up" I guess. My folks are still coming in for the New Year, so there will be a few more little knick knacks there, especially for the baby. Of course, she already got so many presents my head is spinning!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Ahh! Christmas is over. Now I can hunt for a few after X-mas bargains. Next week, Beruit revisited (New Years Eve). Some lunatic was lighting off fireworks around here on Christmas Eve. People here just love stuff that goes boom. I was sitting in my yard just the other night enjoying the sounds of the fiestas. South Floridians just love to party.

Have to finish the puzzle that was started yesterday. Then we are going to the IMAX to watch Avatar. Several movies were watched yesterday. A Christmas Story, Christmas Vacation, Top Gun, Home Alone, and parts of a few others.

Saturday's here already? The long weekend is going by too fast! Not much on the agenda other than going out and scraping more snow and ice from the driveway. In my next life I'm gonna.................well I don't know, but it won't have anything to do with snow and ice.

I went out and started the boat. Found the gas guage wasn't working. Cleaned the connections and found the access panel coller is letting rain water come in. Removed the cover and I'm cleaning, caulking and reinstalling. Looks like I've started a boat maintenance day today. Might as well go from bow to stern tightening this and oiling that. I'm starting to get fishing fever. It's really a pretty day out there today.

Just got done shoveling off my drive way and front path and then laying down some salt. It maybe snows here enough twice in a year, but a damn snow blower would have been nice for Christmas. If nothing else, if I can't fire up the Corvette and upset the neighbors at least I could have a loud snow blower. Hey, maybe a snow blower with a SB V8? Okay, I'm bored!

Spent the weekend with my aunt and uncle in Flintville, Tennessee - got away and tried to get my mind off my problems. They have a very nice place here, around 20 acres, a huge house, plenty of booze, good food and they luv me
I do dread going back home, but when I do I will stay there a day or two and maybe bolt off to someplace else. I have freelance jobs, but can do them on the run. I am also hanging out with my recently deceased mother's dog that they took care of since I was not allowed to have pets.
I hope the holidays were good to you all.

We just got home from the folks house. We had fun, but I'm ready to take it easy at my house. We are having the great meltdown today with lots of flooding here in the bay area. I went down to the marina to check on my boat and she is seaworthy as ever. All the snow had melted off the decks and the cockpit was pretty clean. I left her alone again and will perhaps visit again in a couple weeks to see if she misses me.

I got my drivers seat back from the upholsterer the day before Christmas, what fast turn around!! It looks awesome and I'm going to put it back in the car tomorrow and detail the car. It will be on display at the dealership for the next month or so. They display a Corvette from our membership each month or so in the "Performance Showroom". Its pretty cool, and a couple months ago I had my car out there and the guy that organizes the car thing asked me to bring mine in next.

I hope all had a nice Christmas and plan on having a great New Years this weekend.
